Though it might go without saying, we all have different things that we’re naturally skilled at.
While some people have an aptitude for certain talents at an early age, the truth is to get truly great at something, we need to practice it over and over again.
When we see an incredible painter or an amazing singer, what we’re really looking at is a spark of natural gift along with a whole lot of discipline and practice. For those reasons and others, it’s best to start practicing early on in life.
And that’s exactly what the adorable little boy in this video decided to do!
The video we’re talking about was posted to YouTube in May 2014.
The video was taken from a performance on a Chinese television show, and it stars Zhang Junhao. Although he’s not a household name, Junhao is a very talented three-year-old boy who also happens to be a pretty awesome dancer!
As the clip begins, all the judges clap and he runs out on stage behind a tiny little suitcase. Right from the beginning, everybody’s jaws are on the floor and nobody knows what to expect.
Still, everyone is even more surprised when they see how tiny Junhao is!
The music he comes out to is from “Inspector Gadget,” and he’s even dressed up as the titular character.
After a few back-up dancers come out as well, Junhao starts doing some official dance moves—and the whole crowd is cracking up. After that, he runs backstage again for an outfit change as new music plays.
Next, he comes out in a pair of overalls and a new costume, swaying back and forth and prancing all over the stage. This time, he has a whole new set of back-up dancers as well.
Still, the performance isn’t quite over yet!
After all that, he comes back out once again and puts a pacifier in his mouth.
Yet another song starts playing and Junhao busts a move once again, dancing and nodding his head up and down. In the meantime, the whole crowd is clapping along to support him.
All told, Junhao goes backstage and comes out about three more times, constantly changing costumes and songs! When it’s finally over, he strikes a pose and the whole crowd claps once again.
When it’s all over, he has a chance to address the judges.
Since this clip was posted, it has been viewed more than 14 million times!
As he tells the judges, he loves to dance because it makes his mom happy—and making his mom happy is all he wants to do.
Needless to say, his entire performance was a hit with the audience and with the judges. When it’s all over, the crowd gives him yet another huge round of applause!
And after all, who couldn’t love this little guy?
As Junhao’s performance shows us, there are no age limits on doing what we want to do.
Although we make a lot of excuses for why we’re not more open or joyful as we get older, performances like this one show just how amazing it is when people share their full selves.
In Junhao’s case, that person was only three years old—but he still moved the whole crowd!
