If you haven’t seen the movie Big starring Tom Hanks, stop what you’re doing and go watch it. Anyone who has knows the epic floor piano scene without explanation. This couple from Germany does the most incredible imitation of the well-known movie scene and goes viral for it.

Mister Piano and his partner play ‘Heart and Soul’ on a massive floor piano in honor of the movie Big
Big(released in 1988), is one of the break-out movies in Tom Hanks’ career and was nominated for both a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award. In the famous movie, Hanks’ character plays a duet of ‘Heart and Soul’ by Hoagy Carmichael with his boss(played by Robert Loggia). That duet has since become famous and reenacted by movie-lovers all around the world.
In this video, Alexander Dennis Volk or ‘Mister Piano,’ recreates the scene with his partner who is sporting awesome piano leggings. They’re at the Top-Shopping Mall in Bremen, Germany, when they stunned the large crowd with the phenomenal recreation.
Mister Piano starts them off, hopping onto the giant piano and playing the first notes
With a huge crowd that has gathered to watch, Mister Piano plays the opening notes of ‘Heart and Soul’ to perfection, and people can’t help but clap. His partner patiently watches, waiting for her cue to jump in.
Once Mister Piano finishes the beginning, the duo hops into the piano together and begins playing the song. Both of them step on the keys right on cue, flawlessly timing each step take.
The crowd really starts getting into it
After playing the first part together, Mister Piano steps off the keyboard so that his partner can get a certain rhythm going. The audience begins clapping along, following her steps for guidance on when to clap.
That’s when Mister Piano jumps back onto the floor keyboard and the duet proceeds. Can you imagine how hard this would be? It’s tough enough trying to play the piano with your hands, let alone managing an entire song with your feet.
They smoothly switch spots for the last part of the performance
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Mister Piano and his partner show their versatility by switching places to finish off the song. The duo doesn’t skip a beat the entire time, mimicking one of the greatest musical movie scenes of all time.
At the very end of the performance, both musicians do handstands on the gigantic piano and the crowd erupts in cheers. Mister Piano and his partner were incredible, and the way the video flew across the internet proves it! People from all over watched them pull off the epic mall show.
The video of them reenacting the scene from Big has been viewed over 5.3 million times, with 71,000 that have liked it
It’s no surprise that so many people viewed this video, over 4,400 have also left comments for Mister Piano and his partner.
“They can play with their feet when I can only play this with only my pointer fingers,” one YouTube user joked.
