A lot of kids follow in their parents’ footsteps. But not all of them can say their dad is a music legend.
The children of Willie Nelson are a talented bunch, and each one has carved their own path in life. It’s not surprising that some of their paths have included successful music careers – like daughter Paula Nelson. There’s no doubt she’s got the same musical gene as her father!
Paula has a love for country music like her dad Willie. Not to mention, she also shares the same incredible gift for singing it.
Paula is the child of Willie and his third wife Connie Koepke. Although she struggled with addiction in her teen years – Paula came out on the other side and realized she wanted to pursue music. It’s a good thing she did too.

According to Wide Open Country, Paula has released five albums during her career so far, and hosts her own show on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country channel. She also did a special duet with her superstar dad that fans fell in love with.
Willie Nelson released an album titled To All The Girls.
The album is made up entirely of duets, which Willie sings with a variety of top female country artists. Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Rosanne Cash are just a few of the singers he paired up with for the project.
One of the duets on the album is with his daughter Paula. It’s a haunting cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen The Rain.” Their duet grabbed even more people’s attention after playing in an episode of HBO’s Big Little Lies and appearing on the show’s soundtrack.
Willie and Paula ended up performing the duet live at a casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Luckily, it was captured on film.
During the concert, fans were treated to a chilling rendition of “Have You Ever Seen The Rain.” In the video, Willie strums his acoustic guitar while Paula croons the opening lyrics by herself. All it takes is a few words to determine that Paula is incredibly talented (just like her dad).

It’s a blend of soothing vocals from two very skilled country singers. But like icing on the cake, watching Willie and his daughter Paula perform together is completely heartwarming. Most people don’t get the chance to do something as special as that with their parents (or kids).
When they lock eyes you can tell that Willie is one proud papa.
Their unforgettable live performance (with the Family) has racked up over 3.6 million views on YouTube.
It also has 16K “likes,” with viewers leaving comments like:

There’s no question that the Nelsons are one talented group. Willie’s son, Lukas, is another one of his kid’s who’s had a lot of success in the music industry. Who can forget when Lukas sang an amazing cover of “Always On My Mind,” with many people thinking he sounded like his dad!
