Your number 1 supporter is your family, and they will never turn their backs on you, even if everyone else, including yourself, already has.

That’s what happened to a property manager named Nick Edwards. He said that over the years, he had lost his confidence to sing that’s why he stopped doing it.

Nick’s family knew that he still has it, and they were ready to do everything to make him sing again.

Over a year ago, Nick’s sister-in-law surprised both him and his wife with free tickets to Britain’s Got Talent.

But when Nick thought he was going to spend a day with his wife without their kids, he was terribly mistaken.

Innocently seated among the huge crowd inside the theatre, Nick was totally clueless about what was going to happen that day.

As soon as the next “auditionees” entered the stage, not only the judges and the audience were surprised, but also Nick himself.

On stage were his two lovely daughters, 4-year-old Callie, Savannah, 3 years old, and their grandmother (Nick’s mom) Tracey.

In the video, Nick was even heard saying in disbelief, “You’re joking. That’s my mum, you’re joking?”

Tracey said that her son would no longer try singing, let alone in such a prestigious competition as Britain’s Got Talent, so she had to do it for him.

Ultimately, Tracey did it so Nick could regain his confidence in singing.

A surprise BGT audition? You don’t see that very often, do you?

Since he had no idea that he was going to audition, Nick was given all the time to prepare himself before doing his audition piece.

Surprisingly, there was one song in mind that he unhesitatingly chose to perform in front of world-renowned judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams.

“They gave me my guitar my family brought down on the day, they [producers] said this is the song we want you to sing because we’d seen it on your Instagram,” Nick recalled.

While being interviewed by the judges, he also reluctantly said, “Hopefully I’ll keep the nerves and crying away while I do this.”

Nick’s surprise audition piece was “Daddy’s Little Girl” by Ernie Halter and the video of his audition has already amassed nearly 13 million views!

Looking at Nick, you could really tell he was nervous and uncertain of how his audition would turn out. I guess we can’t blame him, he was just there to watch but then the spotlight was instantly turned on him.

Nick’s performance was truly captivating and heartfelt. As he sang the touching lyrics dedicated to his daughters, the emotion in his voice resonated with the judges and the entire audience.

His rendition of the song was so beautiful and moving that it left the judges in tears, emotionally overwhelmed by the sincerity and depth of his performance. The power of his vocals and the genuine connection he conveyed through the song touched everyone’s hearts, making it a truly unforgettable moment on the stage.

Although some people said the entire “surprise act” was staged, a spokesperson from the reality talent show said:

“To report or allude to anything being staged or contrived regarding Nick’s audition would be false and incorrect…Quite simply, when Nick entered the Palladium auditorium during BGT auditions, he was approached to be part of our ‘Gogglebox’ audience and told he would be mic’d up so we could capture his reactions throughout the day as he sat in the audience.”

They concluded to stop all the allegations by saying:

“He was totally unsuspecting. We did this so we could mic him up without him suspecting a thing.”

Despite the doubts from people, Nick’s performance was undeniably amazing and with a personal touch from him as a real-life father of two lovely girls.

Nick reached the Semi-Finals round of the competition, where he sang an original song entitled ‘Love Is’, and just like the first time, he did it while playing the guitar.
