We all know how much kids love to dance.
From an early age, almost all kids will start to bob and sway to whatever music is playing.
Some kids, however, never stop dancing.
That was the case for one 4-year-old named Lucy, who, at a very young age, has already accomplished so much in the dance world.
She has won 2 trophies and 6 medals for Irish dancing in her young career and by the looks of her dancing skills, those won’t be the last awards that she will win.
You can imagine that a girl with so much success at such a young age would be anything but shy.
However, when she is being introduced before her dance, Lucy acts just like any other 4-year-old would.
The host of the dance competition speaks into the microphone, asking Lucy how many trophies that she’s won.
When the woman leans over and places the mic by Lucy’s mouth, she just holds up a pair of fingers, too shy to speak.
The crowd lets out a cheer and then the woman asks her how many medals she’s won.
Lucy gains a little more confidence after the applause and hesitates only for a moment before saying “six” into the mic.
The crowd claps again and then the woman goes to turn on the music for Lucy to dance to.
The second that the music begins to play, it seems like all of her nerves have left her.
In the dancing world, at least, she has no doubts.
Lucy takes her first few steps to the music and right away it’s clear that this girl knows what she is doing.
Traditional Irish dance looks very proper, with plenty of toes taps, leg kicks, and of course, perfect posture.
Lucy glides and hops around the room, landing gracefully on each foot, tapping her toes at the perfect time.
The crowd loves it from the very beginning and lets out cheers as Lucy works over the room.
They are clapping along to the beat, encouraging her to continue on.
She hops from heel to toe, ever so lightly, touching the floor along with each clap from the crowd.
She finishes her dance just about as quickly as she began it with a bow toward the camera.
The music shuts off and the crowd erupts in applause, standing up and letting little Lucy know just how great of a job she did.
And it wasn’t just the live audience that found Lucy’s dance incredible.
Some YouTube commenters chimed in as well.

“Wow! Not only is she a great dancer for being only 4, but she’s absolutely adorable and so precious! I hope she keeps up with her dancing. She’s very talented! Her family should be very proud!”
