Tim Hawkins is an American comedian, songwriter, and singer who started in 2013 by publishing his parodies of popular songs on YouTube.

With more than 200 million YouTube views in total, Hawkins tackles topics like marriage, homeschooling and parenting. Maybe you’ve wondered what happens when rock stars grow old and what kind of thought process goes through their heads? Should they change lyrics to better suit their age? What would it sound like anyway?

Hawkins is a great comic, and this will probably be one of the funniest acts you’ve ever seen.

Aside from his great singing and excellent guitar playing, the man found a funny way of covering some of the most memorable songs. So how did he do it? Since those are some old songs, original performers aren’t so young anymore, either. Here’s a thought, let’s change those powerful lyrics into something a bit more mellow—and that’s what this man did. If you thought Eric Clapton’s “Cocaine” was perfect the way it is, think again. Hawkins has an alternative: “When your day is done, and you want to ride on, Rogaine.”

Hawkins even mimics Eric’s voice and rhythm perfectly!

The audience gets the joke pretty fast, and soon you can hear the whole room screaming “Rogaine” and laughing.

Not even Eagles’ song “Hotel California” was spared!

After changing the lyrics of Tom Petty’s “Don’t Come Around Here No More” and “Boogie Shoes” by KC and Sunshine Band, he finally comes to the “Hotel California.”

Just so you know, boogie shoes are now orthopedic shoes—and the aging rockstars have all had hip replacements and now enjoy wheelchair races. As Neil Diamond is getting older, he will be singing “Jello again.”

You’ve got to love this guy’s imagination!

The Eagles feel the “warm smell of a corn dog,” and if you walk up to the entrance, you’ll hear them say “I’m a greeter at Walmart California, where my vest is blue, and my hair is too.” We thought we’d seen it all, but this take on these beloved songs is the funniest thing ever.

In all, it was a hilarious tribute to the rock generation.

We’re guessing that older people may find this particularly funny, and it’s good to see someone having a humorous approach to the idea of aging.

The unavoidable fact is that time flies and we will inevitably all grow old. Why not laugh at it while we still can? Seize the day, and enjoy every moment.

In all, Hawkins has released six CDs and eight DVDs since 2002.

Hawkins knows how to laugh at the inescapable parts of life, and that’s what we all need from time to time.
