You never know what kind of talent you’ll come across on YouTube, especially when it comes to music.
These teen twins from the Philippines went viral for their unique beatboxing skills, getting tens of millions of views and even gaining the attention of some of Hollywood’s biggest names.
The sounds they come up with are insane!
Filipino twin brothers Jake and Jomar Cenencia have become viral sensations through their one-of-a-kind beatboxing style.
Jake and Jomar are from Valencia, Carcar City in Cebu, Phillipines, and the twin brothers make incredible sounds using just there hands at mouth. What’s even more amazing, they discovered this unique talent at just 5-years-old.
The first time they went viral was back in 2018, when their schoolteacher posted a video them beatboxing to YouTube and it quickly spread across the internet.
The video starts with the twin brothers joking around, before one of them starts making sounds with his hands and mouth, and the other hilariously dances around.
When they both start beatboxing together, it’s hard not to be amazed by the sounds they come up with.
The song they’re beatboxing is a cover of “Animals” by DJ Martin Garrrix, but what makes this rendition so awesome is the fact that they’re making it using only their bodies.
About 1:20 into the video, they switch it up and one of them makes an insane robotic sound by pushing on his throat and cupping his hand around his mouth.
The teenagers work together to keep the rhythm and beat going.
The video of them beatboxing “Animals” has gained over 27 million views and over 900,000 likes
People couldn’t get enough of their unique sound, and soon the young men were YouTube sensations. Just recently, an Instagram video of them beatboxing was posted by one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Jake and Jomar’s stellar cover was the start of something much big, and just two weeks ago they drew the attention superstar Will Smith.
After their performance for their teacher went viral, the twins continued to make videos of themselves doing the cover of “Animals” and it paid off in a huge way.
The Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith, posted their video to his Instagram captioned:
“Before the internet people would just be good at something like this and nobody would know—Tragedy! Shoutout Jomar & Jake…this is spectacular!”
Other celebrities like Questlove, K Smith, and DJ Martin Garrix were also moved by their impressive beatboxing.
Musician Questlove also reposted the video to his Instagram, and Jake and Jomar became viral sensations yet again.
YouTube channel Beatbox Allstars also posted a video of their routine on YouTube with part of the caption saying:
“They discover this very unique style of creating sound when they were just 5 years old, JJ’s uncle said. During the day, these two love to hang and play at the jungle, and when the night comes, going back to their home without enough light on their way, they usually use their hands to clap to make sound so that their uncle would hear them both coming or ask for help in going home.”
Jake and Jomar have captured the worlds attention more than once, and it’s for very good reason.
The lighthearted twins deserve to be seen for their impressive self-taught talents, and you can even check them out on their own YouTube channel here.
