Munich’s “Rock that Swing Festival” is an annual celebration of Swing music and dance that’s been around for over a dozen years. Performers come from far and wide to participate in dance nights, competitions, live shows, and workshops headed up by dance masters for an unforgettable atmosphere.

We then see a man and a woman, standing in fancy costumes that could have come straight off the cover of a Swing Era catalog. Performer Nils (Right) signals for the music to begin as he and Bianca (Left) stand ready to captivate their audience.

The music picks up fast as we see this couple move to the music in a way that you might not expect outside of a softshoe tap routine. Bianca and Nils take the stage by storm as they perform high-energy steps and bits that are designed to enchant and amaze. Nils then turns around and offers his hand to help Bianca back to her feet. The crowd goes wild during this unexpected and very cool bit.

The last parts of the routine are the most incredible yet. These dancers step, hop, and swing with a laser focus that’s determined to bring it home. Every step is just one part of a beautiful chorus of fancy footwork.
Then, the lights dim as the song comes to a close. Nils and Bianca bow as the crowd goes wild. The lights dim just as these incredible performers bask in the adulation you can only receive by performing for one of the best audiences in Europe.
