Talented funk band Scary Pockets does it again with their impressive rendition of this ’90s hit.

Scary Pockets was created by multi-instrumental singer/songwriter and entrepreneur Jack Conte, who is also the creator of the popular membership platform Patreon that helps content creators gain subscribers.

In this video Scary Pockets put all their gifts on full display with a breathtaking performance of the song that left fans begging for more.

Lead vocalist, Lucy Schwartz gets right to the point, busting out a little shoulder shake before her gorgeous voice comes streaming out.

The rest of the band follows Lucy’s lead, with founder Jack Conte lighting his keyboard on fire.

Two backup vocalists use their beautiful voices to add some brilliant texture to the vocal aspect of the performance—not to mention the top-notch guitar, bass, keys and drums that take the song to the next level.

The funky twist Scary Pockets puts on the popular Hanson song makes it sound like a whole different tune.

Though that much experimentation can sometimes be disastrous, it worked out flawlessly in this case. “MMMBop” was released in 1997, quickly getting trapped in the heads of music lovers all over the world. It is one of those songs that get stuck in your brain on repeat, probably for its catchy and repetitive chorus.

For those who don’t remember, it goes like this:

“Mmm bop, ba duba dop, Ba du bop, ba duba dop, Ba du bop, ba duba dop, Ba du, yeah, yeah, Mmm bop, ba duba dop, Ba du bop, ba du dop, Ba du bop, ba du dop, Ba du, yeah, yeah.”

The group has also done stunning renditions of other songs while adding a funk flare that will get anyone dancing.

That’s probably why their videos always go viral, helping them gain 685,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel alone.

In the final chorus, the group lets loose with every member giving it everything they have to finish the song with a jaw-dropping flurry of wonderful sounds.
