I don't believe I've ever heard it sung so beautifully. <3

Let’s be honest – hearing a really good choir isn’t something we do very often. Our kid’s recital at school? Fun, sure, but not great. It takes years of practice and teamwork to make an incredible choir come together, but when it finally does, wow is it amazing.

Peter Hollens is a popular music YouTuber who had a first-hand education in how majestic a choir can be.

Peter Hollens has done well for himself on YouTube – very well. Currently, he has 2.64 million subscribers and doesn’t seem on stopping the growth anytime soon! His bio says this about him:

Peter Hollens is an American entrepreneur, educator best known as a classically trained vocal artist specializing in a cappella music on Youtube and Facebook. With over 5 million followers and subscribers on his content and over a billion total views since. Hollens has collaborated with some amazing artists, including Brian Wilson, Jason Mraz, Hunter Hayes, Lindsey Stirling, George Watsky & The Piano Guys. In 2010, he was featured on NBC’s The Sing Off!

Even with all those accolades, this video must be one of his favorites!

Premiering only a few days ago, Peter released a video that included him and a choir singing the song How Great Thou Art, and the results are astounding. The choir that he teamed up with is called The All American Boys Chorus and they showed that you don’t have to be grown up to make good music!

The choir is based in Costa Mesa, California, and the boys have traveled and toured all over to show off their skills.

They are all 8-15 years old and have a set of pipes! Hearing them sing is truly a delight and with Peter Hollens leading the pack, the resulting song is sure to be amazing.

The video starts with Peter Hollens leading the group of boys, all of whom are wearing a bright red blazer.

Peter and the boys sweep right into the song without any delay! Peter’s voice is rich and bassy, especially when placed against the vocal backdrop of these younger kids. In the song, he provides the warmth and leading notes while the kids fill out everything.

Without the boys, however, Peter is just a good singer singing a song!

It’s the coming together of all of them that makes it so amazing. When the kids are singing along with Peter, their layered vocals are bright and sweeping – be careful, you might get the chills!

Peter eventually sings the lead lines as the kids vocalize behind him.

Just like an acapella group, there are no instruments or accompanying music. You might think that means it sounds empty but you would be wrong! As they sing through different parts of the song, you can’t help but be impressed.

It’s in the final notes that they go WAY up there and it’s amazing!
