Like many musical instruments, it takes countless practice hours to play the violin well, but this string instrument has a reputation for being a hard instrument to learn.
Many people interested in learning to play a musical instrument are drawn to the beautiful sound and expressiveness of the violin. But as with anything else, learning to play can present challenges to the beginning student.
However, much of the difficulty in learning any instrument rests with the student’s attitude. If a student will perceive learning as hard then it can lead to more difficulties and frustration. Perceiving your study as a challenge to be mastered can be the difference between enjoying a lifetime of music, or getting frustrated and giving up.
One of the most difficult instruments to play is the violin. It requires you to coordinate both the left and right hands, while engaged in completely different functions, each presenting its own unique challenges.
It takes a lot of hard work and practice
Most violin players start young, just like Karolina Protsenko who’s only 12 years old. She also sings and she’s so good that Karolina is considered to be a violin prodigy.
Karolina was born on October 3rd, 2008 in Ukraine to a musical family. After her parents moved to the United States when she was just six, she started violin lessons the same year and is classically trained.
In less than two years after creating her Youtube channels, her fan base has grown into 5 million followers, in over 50 countries. Her videos on YouTube and other media sites have been viewed well over 500 million times and she has been featured on the Ellen show.
Most of Karolina’s videos are song covers and last month, she posted her street performance covering ‘Warrior’ by Demi Lovato.
The video started off with Karolina smiling at people while preparing. The song hasn’t even started and she already received a tip!
As soon as the song starts playing, her posture changed and she became one with the song. Several people stood by as they watch this beautiful, young girl gracefully perform in front of them.
Everyone was mesmerized by Karolina, especially a young boy who was all smiles when he approached her.
The boy joined the performance and started spinning where he stood, as Karolina tries to catch his ‘attention. He was still dancing and spinning around as people approached and gave their money.
As the song reaches its end, Karolina’s performance intensified as she came up to the boy and performs in front of him. The little child then starts imitating her moves but he stumbles!
But the boy stood up and leaned towards Karolina for a sweet kiss!
This viral video captured the heart of millions as it has over 8 million views and roughly 200k likes. Viewers shared their overflowing admiration towards Karolina and also the little boy.
