So what’s on the docket today?

BYU Vocal Point prepared an outstanding medley of the hit musical comedy-drama Newsies!

For those that don’t know, Newsies premiered as a movie in 1992, starring a young Christian Bale!

The story’s loosely based on the Newsboys’ strike of 1899 in New York City. The musical was then released as The News Boys across the pond.

Now, it’s been reimagined by BYU Vocal Point!

The Vocal Point crew continues their crisp harmonies outside a rather important-looking building. Where exactly are they?

According to the YouTube description, the video was filmed at the Utah County Historic Courthouse. Neat!

By this point, our esteemed vocalists are supplemented by an outstanding team of dancers.

Plus, they look great in blue – lots and lots of blue!

The courthouse provides the perfect backdrop for some songs!

Like the original Newsies, things take a dramatic turn.

The camera halts and the group points towards the second story, emphatically. Someone on the balcony’s caught their eye!

What new adventures lie above?

One of the crewmembers starts singing from his second-story perch.

He lets out a smooth croon against his buddies’ harmonies.

Don’t look down!

He’s awfully close to the edge!

The performers let out a flurry of pitch-perfect harmonies supplemented by captivating choreography from the background dancers.

What an epic performance!

“Let us seize the day!”

They seem to be seizing the day pretty damn hard!
