Quarantine has been doing some weird things to people. Everyone that has been stuck inside their homes has been forced to start hobbies and try new ways to entertain themselves. This has mostly been done by attempting new things they’ve never tried before just to pass the time until they can see their friends again.
Then there are others who go out of their way to brighten other people’s day. Anything from making masks, to buying meals for essential workers, there’s really no end to what people can do. One popular idea sweeping Youtube is musical performances.
More than just a few famous musicians performing for instagram live, musically gifted people have been stepping out onto their balconies and opening up their windows for everyone to enjoy. And that’s exactly what this father daughter duo did.
While dad played the sax to a remix of Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” the little girl felt the music and wasn’t afraid to get down to the song.
The dad has a whole set-up going. His laptop is hooked up to some speakers for some background effects and he plays the sax flawlessly to whatever comes out of the speakers. This time, it’s the popular “No Woman No Cry” by Bob Marley.
And his Daughter loves it! She stands on the bench at the window next to him, swaying back and forth to the tunes her dad is creating. You can even see everyone on their balconies in the nearby buildings enjoying the free concert and the performance by the little girl.
The most touching part of the video is the fact that the little girl can’t keep her hands off of her dad. Saxophone playing clearly requires both hands, but the little girl is constantly hanging on him and wanting his attention. Even moving in for a few cheek kisses.
It’s not just taking place in the United States or in Rome, where this father daughter duo are living. It’s happening all over the world. People bringing keyboards onto their balcony in Italy. Women singing opera out their windows. Even a whole community creating a choir stepping outside their doors to singing a song all together.
It’s moments like this that bring communities together. This father and daughter’s actions spread positivity to all their neighbors, and that’s exactly what everyone could use in these uncertain times.
