Christmas has become known for its festive theme. Bright lights and colorful decorations adorn houses and cities as people walk around, shopping for presents and enjoying the sights and sounds the holidays bring.
But the true message of Christmas is found in its story. When God became man as Jesus, He chose to be born of the virgin Mary with Joseph as His earthly father. And they were simple. No fancy parties. Presents were given by visitors.

Just a stable and a manger.
This is why, even though there are lots of Christmas songs out there, it is the ones that speak of its Bible origins that touches us most. One such song is, “O Holy Night“.

Listen to the iconic Josh Groban sing this beautiful song with all his heart behind it. The music video itself narrates what happened all those years ago in Bethlehem.

The song was composed in 1847 by Adolphe Adam. It is based on the french poem, “Minuit, chrétiens” (Midnight, Christians) and released as “Cantique de Noël“. The French author was Placide Cappeau.
The song’s lyrics tell you everything, including why Jesus is of utmost importance in the story.

And if only we could turn back time and go back to that most holy night when Mary gave birth, Josh Groban’s singing would be the perfect background music for it. His singing is just impeccable! Truly worthy of the divine!
“A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.”
Even King Herod would have stopped his antics and listened!

Josh has one of the most recognizable and soul stirring voices out there.
The man is an incredible talent and has stunned and electrified his audiences worldwide with his perfect vocals and outstanding performances.

When the Son of God was born, you can bet that the stars shone extra bright and all the animals came to that nativity scene to see their Creator in the flesh. Groban sings it perfectly,
“Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.”

Don’t forget to say a prayer with the family come Christmas day. It is the birthday of the Savior!
It’s been a tough year. So be thankful that you’re still alive, that your family and friends are healthy and are able to be with you during the holidays. Be grateful that we can celebrate love together.

And it’s fine if you cannot afford sumptuous meals, fancy wine, or lots of presents.
Just remember that Joseph and Mary had to make do with the manger as no one wanted to take them in. All they had was each other, and God. And that’s more than enough.

Even Josh sings this classic with awe and reverence. Mr. Groban is a Christian himself and understands that Jesus is the reason for the season.
No wonder then that he sings as if he was there himself.

This is Groban at his finest! Watch and listen below!
