When you travel the world, there are some things that change. Accents, dialects, even languages separate us from our overseas brothers and sisters.

But some things are universal – like music, laughter, and dance.

One man proved the power of dance in bringing the world together when he embarked on a mammoth dance challenge.

Matt Bray is the young man behind an inspirational YouTube channel called ProjectOneLife.

In his channel description, he paints a picture of the kind of guy he is, and the outlook he tries to have on life, writing:

“My name is Matt Bray and this channel is about living life to the fullest and having fun. I document myself having a blast with my friends crossing things off of my bucket list.”

And Matt’s videos certainly document his “best life” – he films himself cliff jumping in Las Vegas, couch surfing, playing zorb soccer, running a marathon, learning how to ride a snowboard, sliding down a fire pole, and pretty much every other imaginable bucket list item.

Though all his content is pretty cool, Matt’s “100 People of Dance” video is the coolest.

In the video, Matt travels around North America, teaching strangers in different locations a specific dance sequence.

When he brings all the elements of this sequence together, it produces a full dance routine – and it’s mesmerizing to watch.

Trust us, you’re going to want to watch this video from start to finish.

Explaining the process behind his idea in the video’s caption, Matt wrote:

“The only way I could top 100 places of dance was to bring in friends, family, and strangers. Filming this video was one of the craziest experiences I have ever had in my life. It took 2 months of filming and a month and a half was spent living out on the road driving all around the USA and Canada, I drove a little over 10,000 miles.”

The video wasn’t easy to make, either, as Matt was keen to point out. Not only did he have to be mindful of camera placement, but he also had to find people who were willing to dance with him, which couldn’t have been simple!

But still, it was all worth it for Matt, who wrote:

“Huge thanks to everyone that danced with me and helped film the video. Meet so many amazing people, got to see so many friends, it was an experience of a life time.”

As the video begins, we see Matt dancing alone in various locations.

Then, the camera flicks to Matt dancing in a park, where he nearly bumps into a couple of strangers. After a big of back-and-forth communication, Matt begins to teach them his dance.

Then the music begins, and Matt’s incredible “100 People Of Dance” performance begins.

We see clips of Matt in the city, the countryside, famous spots in Last Vegas, in apartments, and on beaches.

He’s always accompanied by a different set of strangers dancing along with him, and each clip blends perfectly with the next.

It must have taken hours of editing, but one thing’s for sure – this is a video that Matt will cherish for the rest of his life.

Perhaps the most special thing is that so many strangers were willing to join in on the fun.
