Dolly Parton meets funk music in this epic performance.
We’ve all heard of Dolly Parton, but I bet you’ve never heard one of her songs covered like this before. This talented funk group does a spunky rendition of Dolly’s Academy-Award winning song “9 to 5.” This is one of the best cover performances we’ve seen!

The incredible funk group Love Raptor turned “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton into a funkadelic masterpiece.
Love Raptor is a psychedelic funk group who does it all for the love of the music. They specialize in covering popular mainstream songs, all while putting their own funkadelic touch on the music they cover.
Singer/pianist Sam Behr, guitarist Will Leet, drummer Micah Cowher, and bassist Mikhail Pivovarov put on a spectacular performance of one of Dolly Parton’s most famous songs.

As soon as Behr lets her unique voice take over, you can tell it’s going to be good.
Love Raptor immediately gets after it, singing the same lyrics as Dolly Parton but playing a whole other type of song for the background. If I’m being honest, I like Love Raptors’ version of “9 to 5” more than the original! Even so, Dolly did receive an Academy Award for her version, so she definitely wins.

About 1:00 into the video, the band turns it up a notch and really lets loose.
Sam Behr’s voice is seriously magical—I can’t get over the way she bends and manipulates her tone go with the band!

At one point, Behr hits some unbelievable high notes while the rest of the band stays right on cue.
Later on, 1:50 into the video, guitarist Will Leet goes on a rampage with his instrument, using his whammy bar to make his electric guitar sing beautifully. Dolly Parton would surely approve, and Love Raptor really knows how to rock it!

The fact that Sam Behr can sing this well all while playing the keyboard is beyond amazing, and there’s plenty more where that came from.

Love Raptor has covered tons of iconic music from all decades.
Love Raptor’s videos don’t always go viral, which is actually quite surprising given their top-notch talent. In other performances, they cover everything from “No Scrubs” by TLC to “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cook and many other brilliant songs. The one thing each performance has in common is the funky twist they put on them.
As they get toward the end of “9 to 5,” Love Raptor goes out with a bang that will give you chills to watch.
There’s one point when Behr was singing the word “crazy,” and the whole band makes hilarious faces that are easy to miss.

The gifted band puts it all the table for their finale, especially Sam Behr, who lets her voice soar to another level.
These musicians are all excellent—they seriously wow me away every time they perform. Don’t forget to check them out on social media, their music is infectious and will never let you down.

Their funky rendition of “9 to 5” doesn’t have millions of views, but Love Raptor is a phenomenal funk band nonetheless.
Love Raptor isn’t just these four musicians—their other videos feature many different talented artists.

This is truly funk music at its best, and hearing it just does something to your soul.
Over 12,000 people have viewed Love Raptors version of Dolly Parton’s iconic song, with hundreds more liking it—but we’re hoping that number can go way up.
