For those who don’t know, Canadian Ben Caplan is a singer, songwriter, performer, and entertainer.

On his website, he explains that he touches on themes of immigration, loss, darkness, and love in his latest project. Caplan and his band, The Casual Smokers, play concerts all around Europe, Australia and North America. Caplan’s music hasn’t gone unnoticed, and he even enjoyed WOON Roots Recording of The Year award in 2013.

In all, he has released three studio albums—but this video alone earned him almost 10 million views since it was published in 2011.
