Who in their right minds would intentionally spark a fire just for the heck of it?
The Greenville Fire Department, that’s who.
Before your mind convinces you that it’s something to be appalled and indignant about, you should know that it’s a different type of fire we’re suggesting.
We’re talking fierce and scorching – the kind that will have you fanning yourself, reaching for that ice-cold glass of water, and secretly wanting an encore.
These firefighting heroes sure know how to let loose and have fun!
And honestly? Their definition of breaking a sweat will have you perspiring, too.
The Greenville Fire Department gamely stepped up to the Lip Sync Challenge with a lineup of the hottest, danceable tunes.
It was executed so well, too. While most lip sync challenge entries are pretty unique and entertaining, it’s going to be hard to top this one. The intro of the production cleverly features the fire department’s mission and vision, followed by a little tour of the place courtesy of one of the firefighters – one who definitely has the right attitude for this creative number!
In the first part of the video, the confident firefighter mouths along to “My House” by Flo Rida as he goes about the place while the camera captures his colleagues sleeping, dancing along, snacking, and basically lounging around, enjoying their free time.
Then comes the good part.
Well, there are quite a lot of good parts but the first few scenes are already telling of the kind of content the firefighters have in store.
As part of the mini tour, the camera pans towards the direction of a room where fine, muscled men can be seen working out.
And that’s only part of the beginning, mind you.
In the next scene, “Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO begins playing as a firetruck pulls up, spraying water.
Cue more firefighters sporting sunnies and the usual gear sans the shirt. That’s right, shirtless firefighters about to put on a show.
Clearly having fun with their scene, they begin wiggling their butts to the beat as water sprays all around them.
Aren’t you glad these firefighters had time to spare for this video?
Next stop, more of the fire department showing a bit of their work skills and adeptness with tools in a burned-down building as they mouth along to “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins.
They sure picked the right songs for this challenge!
Then to cap off this entertaining (and delightful, let’s all admit it) piece, the team decided patriotism was the way to go.
Their finishing track was another classic that will have you singing along – John Mellencamp’s “Pink Houses“.
For this one, the firefighters all donned their uniforms as they sang along to the 80s hit, with the national flag hanging in the background. What an inspired way to end the performance!
Once you’ve had your fill of the heart thumping performance (because let’s all admit, rewatching the entire video is totally understandable), be sure to check out the hilarious comments under the video.
