When the men tasked to help save lives by putting theirs on the line sign up for a great cause, they go from heroes to superheroes real quick. It’s not enough that they showcase their courage.
These men in uniform may have big muscles but it’s those hearts that are bigger.
The Los Angeles Fire Department did just that. They show off their trucks and a few clips of them at work before the music comes in and the camera takes in the whole garage where a little girl in a pink tutu can be seen with her walker.
Such a strong young lady!
Meghan Trainor’s “Better when I’m dancing” is Fifi’s favorite song and even though she was born prematurely with cerebral palsy, it doesn’t stop this brave little girl from moving her legs. She will dance!
Mom and dad adopted Finley since mom couldn’t conceive. This little girl has Spastic Diplegia but she and her parents were determined to live a normal life. They discovered a possible life changing surgery in St. Louis which could mean new legs for this brave little warrior. It will cost $50,000 alone not including the travel time, hotels, and many other possible factors yet to be seen.
This is the Dare to Dance Challenge.
The idea is to dance to Fifi’s favorite song, which is “Better when I’m dancing”, post it and tag five others to do the same and if they don’t do the challenge in 24 hours, they have to donate $20. So why not dance and donate?
Now these firefighters have no issues dancing on the job. Hey, if it’s for a great cause. These guys let loose and even though they are in uniform, they take advantage of whatever tasks they’re doing, mixing it up with a few steps here and there.
Working on a ladder with the guys? Let’s dance!
They let it all out for the smiling Fifi whose pretty face just lights up the entire place. One firefighter does the classic moonwalk while another slides down the pole with a squat and shuffle. Even cleaning the truck is a good time to dance!
Painted on the side of the truck are the words, Serving with courage, integrity, and pride. And their duties now go above and beyond the calling they signed up for. These men have such kind souls.
They all stand on the truck with Fifi and her mom joining these awesome men in their performance. One look at their faces and you can see that it’s just a happy time for everyone.
Fifi won’t stop smiling!

We can only hope that Fifi’s surgery was a success. This lovely little lady deserves to dance her heart out when and where she wants. It’s generous people like the LAFD who bring her closer to that dream. There are many others out there who have donated to the cause and they may not know it, but Fifi and her parents will be keeping them all close to their hearts.
