Although you may have never heard of ‘Dimash’ before — it’s about to become a household name.
Dinmukhamed Kanatuly Kudaibergen is his full name, but he goes simply by Dimash. He is a tenor altino singer from Kazakhstan and doesn’t exactly have a particular genre he likes to sing, because well, he can sing them all!
Whether it’s electronic or pop, folk or soul — no style of music is too complicated or too difficult for Dimash to sing. That’s because Dimash’s vocal range is absolutely insane. The young, 23-year-old mega-talent sings notes that you would never expect to come from him.
The talented singer can hit high notes that would even make Mariah Carey jealous.
Dimash was first discovered when he made his appearance on the Chinese talent show “Singer 2017.” From there, he stayed on the show for five entire rounds before being eliminated in second place. It’s hard to imagine that there is anyone that could possibly outsing Dimash.
Placing second, however, didn’t stop Dimash from powering through and catching the attention of millions. He went on to win “Most Popular Asia Singer” in a music competition in which he performed a 1978 song titled, “SOS D’Un Terrien En Détresse.”
As if being an incredibly amazing singer wasn’t talent enough, Dimash also speaks French, Kazakh, and Russian.
It turns out that music runs in Dimash’s family’s blood; his parents, Kanat Kudaibergenovich and Svetlana Aitbayeva, are both renowned singers in Kazakhstan. Not only was he born with talent, but he was also born a natural philanthropist. After winning “Singer 2017,” Dimash donated the jacket he wore to be auctioned off; the proceeds went directly to the Foundation for the Care of Children with Blood Lead.
Even though Dimash’s career is brand new, he has already accomplished more than many other seasoned singers and performers. He’s had nine singles, three of which were released in 2017, two music videos, and has won seven awards — including Best International Artist and Favorite Male Singer Of The Year. Dimash also sang at the inauguration of the Kazakhstan pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival and the Global Gift Initiative.
His singles “Ocean Over The Time,” “Go Go Power Rangers” and “Eternal Memory,” are all catching worldwide attention.
None of these accolades and accomplishments should come of any surprise once you watch and hear him sing. His vocal range is out-of-this-world and it’s hard to believe that he’s only 23-years young; it’s a range that most singers practice decades to accomplish, if ever.
Just like Mariah Carey, Dimash can hit notes in five out of eight octaves. The compilation of his performances below will show you just how incredible his singing skills really are.
