In October 2017, Glamour showed Pink Davina’s cover of the 2017 hit song “What About Us” and the legendary singer had a priceless reaction. In “You Sung My Song,” Pink had an opportunity to hear Davina for the first time. Her genuine surprise and enthusiasm for the young woman’s phenomenal voice are what makes the video so great. Davina is a Dutch singer and YouTuber who began posting covers in 2016.
Today, Davina’s YouTube channel has 1.27 million subscribers. In 2016, she participated in the fifth season of Idols, a television show on the Dutch television network RTL 4.
Davina caught a lot of attention with her rendition of Jessie J’s “Nobody’s Perfect,” but it wasn’t until she covered Pink’s song that the world got to know her a lot better.
My Own World, Davina’s debut album, was released in 2020, and it’s available on all streaming platforms. When describing her music, Davina loves to say “listen to my songs to be part of my adventure.” We love that concept because every song is a reflection of an artist’s life, thoughts and experiences.
After Pink gave Michelle the propulsion she needed, the cover of “What About Us” went viral, garnering the incredible 18 million YouTube views in a short time.
To make things better, Pink and Davina had an opportunity to collaborate when Hoogensdoorn was an opening act for Pink during her Beautiful Trauma Tour in the Hague in 2019.
After Davina Michelle performed the cover of Glen Faria’s song “Duurt Te Lang,” the track became one of the most downloaded songs on iTunes.
