Couple sings perfect romantic cover of “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac

January 14th, 2021

Fleetwood Mac’s only number-one single in the United States remains one of the band’s most popular songs.

Numerous artists have covered the track over the years, but in 2018, the Broschards gave it a special charm. Their love radiates through this duet performance. Julie and Spencer are married, but the true bond that ties them up is their mutual love for music.

It’s simply breathtaking what two people can do with a song when they’re perfectly in sync!

The Running Mates is a group consisting of Julie and Spencer Broschard.

They began posting on YouTube in 2013, and they’ve attracted many fans over a decade. Their story began like a fairy tale: the couple met in 2018 while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They hit it off immediately, and the next logical step was to perform together.

We must agree that they owned the song, and the girl sang it with her whole heart.

Clearly, these two know how to make an audience fall in love with their performances!

Julie’s voice sounds like a fine cross between Stevie Nicks and Dolly Parton.

No one can sing a song better than the original artist, but they definitely sound authentic and powerful in their version. Only half of the joy comes from listening to Julie—the other half is caused by her goofy movements and how much he’s into the song!

Both performers totally nail this performance, and the result is an outstanding rendition that will melt any heart—even if you’re not a fan of cover bands.

When there’s a couple with this much talent and they both have so much chemistry, it’s pretty hard to go wrong! The whole thing makes us wish that we had someone we could make music with.

The chemistry between the two is so heart-warming to watch.

Spencer is so happy to see his wife shine and vice versa. What a great couple!

Nothing like a good old, simple acoustic sound.

In some aspects, Julie and Spencer made a cover that competes with the original!

We love that the younger generations are still capable of channeling the spirit of these older artists.

As time goes on, many incredible musicians and albums may get lost to younger people. Fortunately, as long as there are new artists who draw inspiration from the past and bring it to a new audience, those older touchstones will stay alive.

Great job you two—keep up the great work!
