Getting on the subway can be a grueling business for commuters.
If you live in New York, you know just how much of a hassle the subway is, especially in the summer.
The temperature is never right on the subway platforms or in the train cars. You’re always sweating, no matter what the temperature is outside.
Everything is always overcrowded and people are always having loud conversations.
If someone isn’t interrupting your morning commute with their phone call, then a busker sure will.
It isn’t buskers fault that New Yorkers are just too busy to stop and watch their performance. Everyone is always running late or just a little self-involved for these things.
If you’ve ever walked past a subway busker at the 50th street subway station, you might just regret it.
The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon has been known to bring celebrities down onto the subway platform in disguise.
Jimmy and Miley Cyrus did this last year and at first, people didn’t realize who they were at all. But then a crowd started to form and sure enough, Miley and Jimmy revealed themselves.
Well, Jimmy did it again! This time he brought ‘90s veteran pop star, Christina Aguilera, to the subway.
Together, the two of them performed one of Christina’s biggest songs, “Fighter” and they did their best to channel Aretha Franklin to sing her hit “Think.”
However, anyone who past them once Christina and Jimmy were singing is a total fool! No offense.
Christina has one of the most recognizable voices out there. And not to diss Jimmy, but he also has a pretty familiar voice after all of these years as a late night TV host.
Jimmy had Christina on the show to celebrate the fact that she is finally releasing some new music this year, after 6 years of no new music.
On June 15, 2018, Christina dropped her eighth studio album, Liberation. She collaborated with many different artists for this one, like Pharrell Williams and Linda Perry, Demi Lovato, Keida, Ty Dolla Sign, 2 Chainz, and more.
On the subway platform, Christina and Jimmy got into the music and enjoyed performing in their disguises at first. But eventually, they had to reveal to the crowd who they were!
Since it was shared on Facebook, the video has gotten over 6 million views, 36,000 likes, 7,000 shares, and over 1,000 comments.
