Numerous artists have caught the eye of the audience by performing at the Oxford Circus.
It’s a road junction connecting Oxford Street and Regent Street in the West End of London.
Busking is legal in London, but artists must apply for permission to do so.
In this video, a man performing “Wonderwall” shows that he has more than earned his right to perform!
A few things are obvious straight from the beginning: everyone’s wearing jackets, it must be winter and everyone’s in some kind of hurry.
It seems like the guy went out to play in the middle of a day, and we love the fact that he did what he felt like doing. The busker is sitting at one corner with a mic in front of him and a little amplifier by his side. What we liked the most is that he’s playing the microKORG.
It sounds amazing, who would have said that a small keyboard and voice recorder can have so many possibilities.
English rock band Oasis released the song on their second studio album.
They probably didn’t imagine that the song would be voted the greatest British song of all time by Radio X listeners in 2016! U2’s guitarist, David Evans, said that “Wonderwall” is one of the songs he most wishes he had written. And that’s not even the beginning of the list of awards and accolades the song received. Having that in mind, it’s hard to put on a show that is quite enough to pay respect to the original sound—but this man somehow manages it. He doesn’t even try to sound like Oasis; he’s got the same vibe, but a different approach.
His singing is calm and soft, and he can brag with that beautiful voice.
When he hits those high notes, you get shivers all the way down your spine. Though this video made waves online, we couldn’t find the name of the mysterious artist. Seems like some people are hard to trace despite how much they put themselves out there. Then again, something is charming about the fact that the man comes into the square, plays some beautiful music for everyone who wants to listen and then disappears. It’s about the music. The music was the main goal the whole time.
The performance attracted a professional photographer to record it and post it on YouTube.
Even so, these performances are commonplace in London.
As a result, plenty of citizens are used to seeing things like this all the time—but not everyone posts on YouTube. Some people just play in the street and then go home, and a wider audience never gets the chance to hear them. Fortunately in this case, Modi Elnadi, a British professional photographer and blogger, was on the scene. As it turns out, Elnadi often walks around and films different busking performances and posts them to his YouTube channel. That’s how Elnadi’s 27.3 thousand subscribers got the chance to hear out this wonderful young man who honored “Wonderwall” in such a beautiful way. It’s amazing how different artists bring the best out of each other.
We hope that this gentleman will soon be discovered and put on a bigger stage!
It was all uploaded in 2016, and we are rooting for this guy to be discovered and signed.
Those 5,000 YouTube views are definitely a good start. To that we say: good luck young man!
