There is hardly a person in any corner of the world who hasn’t heard of English pop music phenomenon The Beatles.

Fifty years later, they’re still just as popular as their first days of fame. The four musicians who famously crossed Abbey Road had such an impact that today, every tourist in London goes to the same crossing.

So, how did it all begin?

Here’s one of their earliest performances, and you can already see the adoring crowd as an early sign of the iconic status they were about to gain.

This was a live performance that marked The Beatles as the energetic earthquake.

It was all filmed on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 over half a century ago.

The song is “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” and you can bet that every lady in that audience would happily hold hands with these charming fellows. The Beatles were an English rock band formed in 1960 in Liverpool. They are regarded as the most influential band of all time! The famous four are John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr remained together during those quick years of fame. Everyone loved them, and everyone loves them today.

Whatever the reason is, The Beatles’ work is as relevant today as it was many years ago.

We all remember some of their hit songs: “A Day in the Life,” “Yesterday,” “Strawberry Fields Forever,” “In My Life,” “Let It Be,” “Hey Jude” and many more.

It’s clear from this performance that they were masters of harmonizing!

As the clip begins, Paul, John and George are on the stage with their guitars and Ringo is behind them on an elevated platform, playing the drums.

The four men are sporting that famous haircut that The Beatles helped to make famous!

The harmonies that the group sings together sound so perfect, but everyone probably already knows that.

We love how Ringo looks while he plays those drums—he’s ecstatic, and you can see enormous joy on their faces! They loved to play for an audience that adored them so much.

The song is constantly interrupted by screams from the audience.

There are so many ladies in the studio, and they’re completely smitten by The Beatles. By the grand finale, when all three finish the song off with the same guitar riff, someone in the studio screams and the camera shows the ladies laughing and jumping with joy. It’s not their first live performance that’s been compared to a little earthquake, and now we know why.

There are so many lovely moments whenever the audience is shown!

You can see that some men came to the show with their ladies, and they’re laughing happily upon seeing how much fun their wives are actually having.
