Dr. Bambang Atmaja is an oncologist who, by day, saves people’s lives and at night, as judge David Walliams puts it, a “superhero” with an amazing singing voice.
Atmaja is no Doctor Strange but he may very well be his own version as that voice seems to work magic whenever he sings.
It was Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden who invite him to audition for the show after Bambang’s colleagues put his name forward.
They say he’s a good singer so Holden wanted to see and hear for herself.
He is from Indonesia and Atmaja’s ultimate goal has always been to pursue both medicine and music.
“The big dream for ms is to do both, to be able to work as a doctor and sing… performing at the London Palladium is incredible. How many people can say that?” he explained.
Dr. Atmaja appeared on Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden’s show, Heart Breakfast, where Bambang thought he was going to talk about being a doctor.
But Amanda had other ideas.
Holden invites Bambang to audition and the good doctor just cannot believe his ears.
Atmaja took to the Britain’s Got Talent stage and proceeded to stun the audience and the four judges with his amazing voice, covering “Listen” by Beyoncé that had jaws dropping.
A viewer named LH must be a colleague of Bambang’s since the comment says,
“a doctor who is very humble, handsome, young & very talented in singing, his extraordinary attitude is amazing, it makes us so proud to see him, I cry to see you throughout this video. we are very proud to see you, keep moving forward in your career & singing dr.Bambang Atmaja you are really one of a kind.”
The good doctor leaves a wonderful impression wherever he goes.
Who knew that such a big, talented voice would come out of such a humble man?
Dr. Atmaja sings his heart out, enjoying every moment on stage as he serenaded everyone in attendance.
It’s almost like he was born to do this!
Once he finishes his audition, the audeince and the judges are on their feet, bringing tears to the eyes of the Indonesian doctor.
The judges had nothing but praises for Bambang.
“It was an audition we’re all going to remember. We love you, we love your story, amazing,” said Simon Cowell.
“You are just the nicest guy and I couldn’t be happier for you. I have to say, technically there were some beautiful runs in there,” added Alesha Dixon.
“It’s like meeting a superhero, the mild mannered doctor by day, by night he’s a singing superstar! It’s incredible to have both talents,” said David Walliams. “You’re wonderful and there’s something about you that’s just so loveable and how happy you are to be on the stage.”
Holden told the physician his performance “was so entertaining.
You are such a lovely man and you are a hero.”
And the entire time the judges were praising Atmaja, the doctor had tears in his eyes.
He gets four Yeses which means we’ll see more of Bambang Atmaja!

Most certainly this doctor wowed the judges and crowd with his song choice!

It peaked at number 61 on the US Billboard Hot 100, but around the world in was able to hit in the top 20.
Beyonce first performed the song live on The Oprah Winfrey show. She left Oprah speechless and got a standing ovation from everyone on in the room.
She even performed the song at the 49th Grammy Awards and Madison Square Garden.
It has even been covered at the Miss America Pageant in 2010 not to mention by this loveable doctor on the Britain’s Got Talent Show.
