Harry Potter fans, you’re in for a real treat.
Even though the Harry Potter movies ended years ago, the magic is still alive and strong among fans of the series.
There are Harry Potter theme parks in Florida, California, and Japan. The franchise relaunched with a spin-off series, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and you can buy merchandise at major retailers, like Hot Topic.
Fans keep Harry Potter going strong by incorporating it into their daily lives. One gymnast has proven just how to do this with style.
Axelle Klinckaert is a 17-year-old Belgian artistic gymnast. She was the all-around silver medalist at the 2015 Youth Summer Olympic Festival.
She has made headlines recently for one of her most recent competitions, where she performed a very creative and original routine.
At the 2018 DTB Cup in Stuttgart, Germany, Axelle took the floor to perform a Harry Potter inspired routine.
She wasn’t just doing layouts, cartwheels, and a few little dances and movements throughout this routine. Axelle’s choreography, set to “Hedwig’s Theme” by famed composer John Williams and other themes from the 8 films was incredible.
The music alone will transport any Harry Potter fan into the wizarding world, but the movements as well look like they could come straight out of the movies.
Axelle was able to incorporate the magic with some wand dueling in her routine and she even had some owl-like moments in there. Hedwig would certainly approve of this floor work!
Her routine has garnered a lot of attention, seeing as everyone still loves Harry Potter. Many have praised her work and shared this video.
While some think the choreography is a bit strange and others think she could have stuck her landings a bit better. All I know is, she did this a lot better than any of us regular folks could!
One commenter said on YouTube:
So glad to see Axelle in action again. Say whatever you want, but her FX is always original. It’s not just boring tumbling and no choreography. If you only want to do tumbling, then you shouldn’t be an artistic gymnast, but become an acrobat instead.
While another asked for more routines like this:
Can we please have more themed floor routines please puh-lease? Freaking AWESOME#
And another commended her hard work and was proud of Team Belgium:
Belgian floor choreography is always my favorite! I LOVE this routine!!
What do you think of this routine?
Please SHARE this incredible floor routine with your friends and family on Facebook today.
If you think that Axelle is incredible, you can see more of her floor work in the video below.
The video is from her 2016 first round qualification for the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (BRA), April 16-22, 2016. She did not go on to represent Team Belgium in Rio in 2016, as she sustained an injury just a month before the games were set to take place.
But after this performance, we wouldn’t be surprised to see her on the floor in 2020. It looks like that injury has healed up nicely!
What do you think of her original routine? As a huge Harry Potter fan, I am obsessed!
