A film featuring none other than Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper was one of the world’s biggest cultural influences for some time. Two years down the line, we still see their iconic duet show up in any amateur duo who think they’ve got what it takes to show their mettle on busking streets.
Enter stage left, Allie Sherlock, and her rendition with Jacob Koopman!
Allie Sherlock is a young, ambitious and talented musician who has the pipes to wow the passers-by in Dublin’s busiest busking spot. On Grafton street, where all of Ireland’s prospective musicians cut their teeth, she teams up with Jacob Koopman, another young and incredibly talented musician.
Koopman is a modern artist with talent pouring out of his ears.
With a deft control of his melody and an incredible vocal mastery, this young singer is geared up to take on the world. But the question is: can he prove his worth on one of the most influential busker spots in the world? Well, that’s a question that can only be answered by witnessing the talent that lines those melodious streets.

Jacob kicks off the performance
It’s immediately clear that not only does this talented young singer hold the ability to skillfully play guitar while singing (I’ve been working on Wonderwall for about three years to no avail), but his voice really is spectacular. He has passion, ability, and above all else, that star power.
And when Allie takes the mic, she shows just what she can do!
There’s no joke…when Allie steps up to the mic, she takes her full stance and shows the world just what she can do. As it turns out, she has an incredible level of vocal control and enjoys some vocal gymnastics to show off what she can really do. She has a trick or two up her sleeve!
When they come together, their power doubles!
Between Jacob’s soft and melodious sound, and Allie’s impressive vocal gymnastics, they make a truly intoxicating duet.

I mean, I know it’s legal to perform live, but singing passion levels this high just feel like you should have to be indoors after buying tickets, no? Imagine being on the street and seeing this for free…

The constant of this corner, is that there are always people stopping and watching the performances on this iconic space. It’s no small show of appreciation that people are stopping to film thee two, when they are such an incredibly talented duo. I mean, how could you compete with the top popular song to come out of 2018, if you can’t capture an entire street by singing it?
