Everyone eventually finds their place in college.
With a new sense of independence, students also meet friends that last for a lifetime and discover talents they weren’t even aware of. Some people participate in sports, while others do different kinds of clubs—for example, music.
Is there a better way to fulfill your time? Here is how students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst do it.
Enjoy the way they nailed the acapella performance of a Disney medley. With one album already available on Spotify, The Doo Wop Shop is the name we should probably remember.
The Doo Wop Shop is the only Amherst’s all-male acapella group at the University of Massachusetts.
They are nine talented guys, each performing one popular Disney song in this awesome video. It wouldn’t be as catchy and funny if the whole thing wasn’t done in such a clever way! You’re about to watch a hilarious Disney medley, and you’ll probably be asking for more.
In that case, you can check the group’s 2019 studio album “Flying Colors,” which is available on all streaming services.
The Doo Wop guys don’t shy away from sharing all information, rehearsal videos and funny bloopers with their fans.

The important thing is that they have a growing fanbase.
Just to be fair, we’ll list all the soloists from the video in order of appearance: in this video, you’ll see Chris Kazarian, Tim Colby, Ian McCracken, Geoff Herrmann, Keais Pope, Alec Hutson, Jake DiGregorio, Justin Husted and Ronald Vorce hitting the notes as if it were nothing.
It’s clear that the whole video was filmed in a classroom.
There’s even a Disney logo drawn on the board, and the whole thing is cute, original and exciting. All the guys then line up in front of the logo, and one by one, they step forward to sing their song as the others cheer and sing backing vocals.
“Circle of Life” from The Lion King is up first, followed by “I Can Go the Distance” from Hercules.
You’ll burst out laughing when you see the choreography for “I Wanna Be Like You.” It’s something in between their jungle dance and the little act you do when you get a good grade.
After that, they sing other Disney standards like “Strangers Like Me” and “Prince Ali,” following those with “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”
Every song has an appropriate dance that goes with it.
What we love the most is that these guys don’t try hard to be funny—it just comes naturally to them. Their stage presence is so appealing, and even though some of the performance is choreographed, some parts are simply spontaneous. It seems like Disney has a way of bringing the best out of people! Everyone is simply enjoying the ride, and the good mood is contagious.
Since it was posted in 2010, this video has earned more than 13 million YouTube views!
These talented guys are all done with college by now since the video is a decade old, but we’re happy to see that they still perform together.
