Besides the cake, isn’t one of the best parts of a wedding the moment where everybody gets on the dance floor?

Every wedding has a different kind of music, but each one of them usually includes pounding music, that one uncle who loves to dance, and the ability for all guests to let loose and have a good time. The mood is optimal, and everyone has fun.

It’s even better when some of the guests bring out their signature dance moves. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you will have a professional dancer at your wedding who is there to show off their dance skills and give everyone a good show.

Although not your typical dancer, this 9-year-old girl gave everyone an Irish dance show that the guests won’t likely forget.

As the band started playing Irish music, she directly took over the dance floor to show off her skills. The crowd, who formed a circle around her, was so impressed that they all let her keep the dance floor for a good amount of time.

Although there is no exact date on when Irish dancing was invented, many believe it to be invented in Ireland around the 16th century.

Irish dancing includes both solo dancing as well a group dancing and is done in a social, performance of competitive context. The solo Irish dance form is also called “Irish step dance” and consists of complex but impressive footwork from its dancers.

After its creation, it quickly became popular across Ireland and became practiced by many dancers in various different forms. Irish dancing has always been a very positive and joyous form of dance, and it has been performed during gatherings and celebrations since it was created. Dancers would get on tables and spread joy regardless of what the event was!

Some of the most popular Irish dance productions are “Riverdance” and the “Lord of the Dance.”

The first one was created in 1994 and is a theatrical show with mostly traditional Irish dance and music. Although originally created for the Eurovision Song Contest by Bill Whelan, it quickly became popular and today the show has been in 450 venues across the world, watched by over 25 million people.

Michael Flatley, who was one of the “Riverdance” performers, left the group and created his own dance production called the “Lord of the Dance.” Flatley is an Irish-American dancer who also produced and choreographed the musical, creating it in 1996. Ronan Hardiman wrote the music for this show. In 1997, “Lord of the Dance” grew bigger and formed four different troupes. The first two toured in Europe, Asia, the United States, and Canada, and the fourth troupe performed at Walt Disney World in both Florida and Paris.

Irish dance is not only extremely popular in both Ireland and the rest of the world but also practiced by people of all ages, just like the little girl in the video.

As soon as she made her way onto the dance floor, the crowd knew that they were in for a surprise. Behind the little girl is her little brother, who was so amazed by her performance that he wanted to copy her, and you can see him bouncing up and down in the background trying to copy her as she brings out her awesome dance moves. After a while, the little guy gets next to his sister, and together they take over the dance floor. Toward the end of the video, even the grandmother wants to join in and give it a try!
