Some families cook large decadent meals to celebrate Christmas. Some go caroling, decorate their homes from top to bottom or bake lots and lots of cookies.
And then there are other families that force the dad to wear a leotard and dance around for their amusement.
The Haddad family of Monroe, Michigan is one of those families. The family’s patriarch, Steve Haddad, accompanied his two daughters for Christmas performance of Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.”
While his two daughters were clad in stockings and a leotard while good ole’ dad was rocking just his very tight leotard sans stockings for their lip-synced dance number.
Apparently, the song had come per request and dad learned the entire dance routine just to please the crowd.
“You asked you received……Haddad Lip Sync contest,” Mom Tina Spadaro Haddad wrote in her caption on the video of the performance. “Stay back girls he’s all mine!!! #BESTDAD #Beyonce #allthesingleladies #christmaslipsync.”
And the trio nailed all of the moves. Well, sort of. Steve looked a little lost and off rhythm at first but eventually got the hang of it. After that, there was a lot hip twisting, finger-wagging, and a whole lot of butt shaking.
“That booty, God no!” said someone in the background.
You can hear that there were many family members present for the performance who were all hysterically laughing at Steve.
“Here it comes,” someone said as Stever started to spank his own booty causing everyone in the room to go wild.
The performance concluded with Steve adjusting his leotard by pulling it down int he front. The video ended up going viral after Tina posted it to Facebook on Christmas Day. It has now gotten more than 30 million views.
“Thanks Everyone. As you can tell the family had a BLAST watching!” Tina wrote on Facebook. “One thing about Steve is he always makes me laugh. And for the record, they won the lip sync contest! I know nothing about going viral. I know the views have slowed down. We had a good laugh at how fast the views were but it’s slowed down. I think my husband wants to DIE now!!”
The video had people rolling on the floor with laughter.
“Omg, I literally just fell off my stool at work!! Kudos to you sir!! I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that!!” said one Facebook commenter. “And that’s how memories are made!!! Awesome!! Lmao.”
