Meet Lynzee Ensell, a remarkable eight-year-old dancer who participated in the highly anticipated 2020 Showstopper competition held in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

When her moment arrived to grace the stage, she had the audience breathless in mere seconds.

She flawlessly danced to “You Raise Me Up.”

While this song has the power to send shivers down your spine even when heard without visuals, when intertwined with Lynzee’s exceptional talent, it transcends to a celestial realm.

Not surprisingly, her performance caught the attention of the discerning judges, who were unable to ignore the sheer brilliance unfolding before their eyes.

Lynzee’s one of those performers that can leave you awestruck.

She begins her dance routine on the lighted stage in a kneeling position. Once a special version of “You Raise Me Up” fills the auditorium – Lynzee gazes up to the heavens and pretends to pray. As the lyrics go:

“When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be”

Although the world is filled with stunning versions of “You Raise Me Up,” Lynzee’s choice is oh-so fitting.

A little girl’s voice can be heard singing it, which of course, is English songstress Connie Talbot!

You might remember her as the cutie-pie who won hearts on Britain’s Got Talent at six years old.

“You Raise Me Up” appeared on the re-release of her album titled Over the Rainbow.

Lynzee was performing in a category of the competition called “Mini Acro Solo.”

She’s actually trained in acro dancing.

The Progressive Dance Studio website explains:

“Acro dance combines classical dance techniques with fluid and lyrical acrobatic movements. The dance movements in Acro originate in ballet, jazz, modern and lyrical dance styles.”

With the young singer’s voice in the background, Lynzee mixes dancing with mesmerizing acrobatic moves during her performance.

She contorts her body and holds impressive poses, flipping across the floor as well. The techniques really come to life with the powerful chorus.

Prepare for goosebumps watching her dance to:

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas…”

It’s quite amazing what Lynzee is capable of at the young age of 8 years old.

For some though, it’s as if they were born to dance and they begin taking lessons at very young ages.

Many even go into elite competitions like Showstopper – which has a long list of celebrities that once took their stage.

According to its website, Beyoncé, Lance Bass, Nick and Aaron Carter, and Jenna Dewan all performed in Showstopper competitions.

Stars have been born here.

Lynzee Ensell seems like she’s on her way to becoming a star herself.

She certainly stole the spotlight that day with her breathtaking “You Raise Me Up” performance (which was choreographed by Tammy Croftcheck).

A silver-crested performance.

By no surprise, the judges recognized Lynzee’s talent in the competition as well. It was listed in the video description that she ended up placing “2nd Overall!”
