She starts off with a great shoulder shimmy, but this is just her quick warm-up.

It only takes a second for her to start shaking her entire body into a great salsa routine.

Once she starts to move her legs and hips, she knows she’s still got it and keeps it going.

Once she gets comfortable adding in some new moves, she does not stop, she adds in more moves. She is not slowing down for no one, it is the band that needs to keep up with her.

The Latin Dance Centre describes Salsa dancing as,

“… danced by stepping on 3 consecutive beats of music and then pausing for 1 beat, then repeating …An essential character element of salsa is Cuban motion. Cuban motion, especially the hip action, comes, comes mainly from the alternate bending and straightening of the knees.”

Salsa is usually known as a partner dance, but this woman does not need a partner to show off her moves.

“Salsa is normally a partner dance, although there are recognized solo forms such as solo dancing ‘suelta’ and ‘Rueda de Casino’ where multiple couples exchange partners in a circle. Salsa can be improvised or performed with a set routine,” the Dance Shoes Stores explain.

We can hear the audience cheering her on, but it is the smiles on the band’s faces that viewers can see.

Every person in this room is loving this “granny” show off her best moves, even the band.

When she really starts to move her hips, the crowd gets even louder for her.

She might be older, but she can still shake up the room with the moves that salsa is known for.

The more the crowd and the band roots her on, the wider her smile becomes.

She is living her best life on stage to an adoring crowd.
