America’s Got Talent is back for season 13!
The talent competition show aired with acts that were crazier than ever and had the audience on their feet screaming. If they weren’t shouting and cheering, then they were in tears.

The best episodes of America’s Got Talent to watch are the ones where people are auditioning for the show. It is when the audience firsts get to meet each act and see them perform for the very first time.
During the auditions round, judges (and host Tyra Banks) get to slam the iconic Golden Buzzer. Did you know the buzzer hasn’t been on the show since AGT first started? It is actually a more recent addition, as it was only added in season nine.
When a judge decides to use their Golden Buzzer on an act, it means that they feel so confident about that act, they believe they deserve to be in the competition.
When an act gets the Golden Buzzer, they are automatically sent into the live shows. That means they do not need to fight to keep their place during judges’ cut episodes.
As you may remember, the season 11 winner was the first act to receive the Golden Buzzer in 2017. That was ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer! She’s come quite a long way since then.
Now that season 13 is here, the first Golden Buzzer of the season happened. And it wasn’t a judge who slammed down on that golden button!
Austrian acrobatic dance troupe Zurcaroh took the stage and totally surprised their judges. Which is saying a lot! Many aerial dancers have shown off on AGT, but none of them were as incredible as Zurcaroh.
During their performance, the dancers were literally lifted and tossed around the stage. It was a nail-biting performance to watch!
When they were over, host Tyra Banks shouted: “Hold up! Hold up!”
The four judges (Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum) all looked over to see what Tyra had to say. That was when the former model and host ran across the stage and down to the judges’ table.
“I am collecting my breath and I just, I need some oxygen right now! I’m, like, freaking out right now. This is so crazy that you know what I have to do!”
And you know exactly what she had to do – she had to hit that Golden Buzzer for Zurcaroh!
The dancers all burst into tears as the crowd erupted in cheers and golden confetti rained down around them.
After the performance aired on TV, America’s Got Talent shared it on their Facebook page. In under 24 hours of posting, the video had over 350,000 likes, 1 million shares, and 62 million views!
One commenter wrote on Facebook:
THAT WAS NUTS!!! Kids flying everywhere! How’d that girl keep herself so stiff?!? I generally don’t like dance troupes, but this was crazy good.
While another commenter praised Tyra for her choice and the first episode of AGT overall:
