Ballet is one of the most graceful and sharp styles of dance there is.
It takes plenty of practice to master the art of ballet and some people even dedicate their whole lives to perfecting it.
But if a group of high school boys is performing a routine of this classic dance style it might not be the most serious performance you’ve ever seen. Get ready for a very silly ballet recital that had the entire audience cracking up in their seats.
A group of teenage boys came together to shock all of their family and friends with a marvelous ballet performance.
It’s pretty rare for 16 high school boys to come together and practice a ballet routine. I’m convinced they all lost a bet or something because this is absolutely hilarious.
The routine was being performed to a song that might sound familiar to you.
The song is ‘Dance of Hours’, an orchestra classic composed by Amilcare Ponchielli. This beautiful ballad was first performed in 1876 and has been a staple song in the ballet world ever since. It also got its fame in the 1940 Walt Disney film ‘Fantasia’.
If this is the first time you’re hearing this world-famous song, you’ll understand why it’s a ballet favorite as soon as you see this recital.
One thing is for sure, this dance troop was ready to surprise the audience. They all tip-toed on the stage with short tutu’s, tank tops, and tight. The music hadn’t even started yet and you could tell this was going to be a hysterical performance.
The boys got all lined up and ready to go but they could hardly contain their smiles as they stepped into the spotlight.
As the music started all of the boys got their serious faces on and began their performance.
I never would have guessed that they all would be dancing in perfect unison! But they were.
Each and every one of them was on the beat and mirroring each other’s moves. Even though they couldn’t contain their laughter, this was actually turning into an impressive ballet routine.
Whoever was their dance instructor deserves a round of applause because this performance is one this crowd will never forget.
These teens might have found a new hobby to pick up after this ballet recital. All of them looked like they were having a blast up there even if it was mildly embarrassing.
At least, they all had each other to help with the nerves a bit.
But these ballerina boys looked like a bunch of naturals up there. They even did some lifting moves that are bound to leave you speechless.
They pranced and twirled as if their lives depended on it.
Of course with silliness sprinkled throughout the performance. All in all these young fellas had the entire auditorium hollering! I’m not sure how long they all had to perfect this routine, but they certainly knocked this audience’s socks off.
You could hear everyone in the background belly-laughing away.
This talented bunch looked like they had the time of their lives up there! You’ll have to see this entire performance for yourself.
