Keanu Reeves is a very likable guy, but who hasn’t heard that already? The man is just so wholesome and full of charisma that he’s earned the reputation he has.
If it’s not his affectionate and sincere interactions with fans, it’s his kindness during interviews.
The internet truly has many reasons to love Keanu Reeves.

Wait till people see his early days before acting. You’d have to have lived under a rock to not know at least some of Keanu’s films. The Matrix was his breakout role, but he also delivered with his performances as John Constantine in Constantine.
And if romance is what you’re after, he was also a young, heartthrob doctor in Something’s Gotta Give.
Clearly, he knows how to deliver when a camera is recording.
This little tidbit of Keanu’s career history seems to show how that started!
That charisma? The energy? It’s all clear as day in this old video from 1984.
While his biggest roles include some of the most ruthless and deadly characters ever, Keanu himself could not be any more different from his characters. His demeanor is exceedingly kind and gentle anytime you see him.
This old CBC video shows a very young Keanu Reeves reporting on a teddy bear convention.
Keanu’s voice introduces the setting of the video. It’s the first Canadian International Teddy Bear convention, and a very young Keanu with some long hair is on the scene.
His job is to report, after all. So like any good reporter, he interviews and asks the visitors questions.
Such as “Why are all the bears’ first names ‘Teddy?'”.
While he asked that as a joke, the actual reason has to do with former president Theodore Roosevelt. After an incident with an American Black bear he was hunting, president “Teddy” Roosevelt earned himself some caricatures of that very black bear.
Obviously, it was only fair to name it after him. Thus, the name “Teddy bear” was born.
Keanu was also a little curious about the educational backgrounds of the bears.
He asks someone what college one of the teddy bears went to.
While doing all of this, Keanu maintained a smiling, enthusiastic demeanor for the audience. Though I think some of the actual people being filmed were just as entertained.
To be fair, it is pretty entertaining to see a twenty-something-year-old talking to a teddy bear.
Indeed, who would’ve known that this young goofball would go on to become Neo, Constantine, and John Wick?
Look where he is now. The now 58-year-old Keanu is still kicking it and being a sunny, kind person to just about everyone.
And I wonder if anyone from this convention looked back on this after seeing that kid turn into a box office star.
Life can be really unexpected, I guess!
