Young couple bounce across the dance floor while showing off new moves in dance competition
I couldn't believe the lift they did at the end. 🤩

If you can’t get enough of watching a good couple do the swing, then I’m happy to show you this little routine here from the Leapin Lindy 2024 event.

Leapin Lindy is a yearly dance event organized by the folks at SwingMachine Bern.

Swing is, unsurprisingly, the most prominently featured dance style. But according to their website, it seems like other dance styles are welcome too – if you can do a good job.

SwingMachine Bern also takes the safety of its members very seriously. Can’t dance if you don’t feel comfortable, and they’re committed to making sure no one feels uncomfortable.

And that’s how you get fantastic, confident dancers like these two. Their names are Nils and Bianca.

They’ve been practicing their swing game, and it looks like they feel at the top of their game.

A huge help is the live band at the Leapin’ Lindy event. Can’t really spare expenses with an event like this, so Leapin’ Lindy opted for live piano, guitar, trumpets and everything.

Honestly, wouldn’t have it any other way.

Nils came in a big suit, loose enough to let him move freely. It may look a little too big, I think it serves the job just fine.

Bianca wore a beautiful, light floral-print dress with adorable flats.

No doubt, these two dressed for dancing. And dance they can.

The pair step on the gas and pump the energy up high the minute the music plays.

They’ve got smiles on their faces and not a stiff bone in their bodies.

These two are having a load of fun, and that’s the important part at the end of the day.

Nils does a little one-legged spin. A little trick he’s prepared to show off for events like this.

When you’re a pro dancer, it’s always a good idea to have a couple signature, crowd-pleasing moves to throw out every now and then.

It keeps the audience watching, and might get you a good few views on YouTube too.

The pair keep going at it, knowing the crowd wants more. Nils and Bianca have impeccable coordination.

Their rhythm is a joy to watch, as is the sheer fun they’re having.

Smiles are all over the crowd’s faces too.

That energy that this couple brought is pretty darn contagious, it seems.

Bianca is giving working up a sweat with all the twirls and passes around Nils that she’s doing. The lady’s got the finesse and stage presence.

Since the performance has gone on for a bit now, it’s about time they got more aggressive so things don’t get too monotonous.

They do just that, with some headbanging and some particularly stompy adjustments to their routine. And it has the desired result – screams and cheers from the crowd.

That’s the kind of live dancing people pay good money to see, and the type you need to watch for yourself.
