Cheerleaders and dancers are the envy of many school girls, if the movies are accurate. They are talented and charismatic.
The girls bring life to games and school events with their striking costumes and amazing moves. Cheer dancers are always a welcome sight to any event alright!
So start them really young!
The Canadian Cheer Fest held in Abbotsford Centre, British Columbia saw these young girls set the stage on fire with a routine that belies their size.
They are from the Academy of Cheer Excellence, and if excellence is in the name, then it shows on stage too.
What are they about? Well the site says,
“We have been serving the Fraser Valley with quality Cheer instruction for 7 years. We get top results without the drive to a big city gym. With Academy, it takes a village, and we all work hard to ensure that every athlete is challenged and loved. We are different from other clubs because we are always looking for unique opportunities for our athletes to grow, not just in cheer, but in life.”
It goes on to say that,
“Our cheerleaders have performed for Globetrotters and Bandits basketball games, televised talent shows, BC sports awards gala, schools and many seasonal celebrations such as Canada Day in Heritage Park. During the shut down of the COVID-19 pandemic, Academy’s coaches were dedicated to meeting their teams on Zoom to stay connected…and fit! Long story short, you don’t have to go far to find quality!”
Impressive. And if these girls are this good, imagine how much better they’ll be a few years from now.
Eight little ladies in dazzling green and white outfits with sparkling hair begin flipping, cartwheeling, and dancing around getting really loud cheers from the pumped up audience.
The balance, the posing, and those brilliant smiles only make the performance even better.
The choreography is really good considering their age.
Dancing in itself is difficult for most people!
And even the viewers love it!
“My cheeks hurt from smiling to much this was so good.” says Life with Trezur
Dee Lillian had this to say,
“This is so adorable, if I told my sister to solve 1+1 she would have a massive meltdown and quit at everything. These young girls are so talented I’m looking forward to seeing them on a world’s team in the future.”
These girls probably will go on to bigger and better things.
Barely four feet tall and yet super flexible.
That takes a whole lot of stretching and practice, with perhaps a bit of luck when blessed with good genes.
You can see the girls’ coach on the bottom left going through the movements with them, patiently and enthusiastically guiding her young dancers who were probably dancing in front of their parents.
Those moms and dads were super proud that night that’s for sure.
