Disco queen Gloria Gaynor left us a hit song that still manages to strike a chord among people everywhere.
Yes, it’s the “I Will Survive” single that came out decades ago. However, most of us are guilty of singing and dancing as soon as it goes on.

In 2016, “I Will Survive” was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry, because it’s “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

We completely agree—the significance of the song is enormous, and there’s probably not a single person that hasn’t heard the disco anthem, at least once.
Gloria Gaynor, an American singer, released the song in 1978. Though that was almost half a century ago, it’s still nearly as popular as it was back then.

It seems like everyone knows the lyrics about a woman who survived heartbreak and came back stronger than ever.
The song became a disco anthem, so much so that VH1 placed the song at No.1 on their list of 100 Greatest Dance Songs. And that’s not all. In 2004, Rolling Stone listed the song at No. 492 on the list of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. “I Will Survive” is often regarded as a symbol of female empowerment, and it went double Platinum.
And this street performance was good enough to bring the ’80s vibe back!

First off, let us say that everyone is dancing and having a great time around these young people who’re playing Gaynor’s most famous song.
In the video, you can see four talented young people who made their stage on the corner of Grafton Street in Dublin. They’ve brought the equipment, there are several instruments around them and it looks like they’re having an amazing time.

Young Allie Sherlock is in the middle behind the mic.
As she starts to rub her hands and prepare, the music starts and she has completely won us over. You can hear it in her attitude, and the way she’s eager to start singing that this is about to be phenomenal. Allie is an Irish singer, guitarist and busker who became popular on YouTube after posting a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers” in 2017.

She later appeared on Ellen in 2018.
In the same year, Allie signed a five-year contract with Patriot Records. The talented girl never stopped posting on YouTube, and her channel has grown to 3.3 million subscribers!
They are not a band, but individual buskers.

Although they sound as if they’ve been performing together for years, they are busking on their own though they play together from time to time.
We love it, and these guys should do it more often! Fabio Rodrigues often performs with Allie, and that’s how the audience got to know his amazing voice.

John Mahon plays the guitar and Jason is behind the drums.
It’s said in the description that they improvise every time they play together. Well, this is one fantastic improvisation. Allie’s vocals are very powerful. It’s mind-blowing that a 15-year-old girl can sing like this! And wait until you see the guy.

His high notes compliment Allie so much.
He became popular after performing Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” At any rate, we’re guessing that Gloria would love this amazing rendition!

The audience is loving them, and everyone had to stop.
Everyone is smiling and there is joy written all over their faces. The video got three million views in less than a month. Keep up the good work guys, and get together as often as possible!
