Over the years, we’ve seen some pretty impressive Michael Jackson impersonators.
Many people have mastered the moonwalk, the crotch grab and the anti-gravity lean, but putting the Michael Jackson spirit into a performance is more difficult to master.
There’s no denying that Michael Jackson had a stage presence that even some of the biggest pop stars can’t rival.
His performances were just as much about his persona as they were about his dancing. That’s where so many Michael Jackson impersonators fall short – they can dance just like him, but they can’t capture his essence.
But one person who has mastered how to truly pull off a Michael Jackson stage presence is little Willie The Entertainer.
Willie’s Michael Jackson performance, which he debuted at the Kidz Choices 2016, was filmed and shared online.
And what a performance it was! Billie, who danced to Jackson’s ‘Black and White’, was nothing short of incredible.
The crowd could only look on in awe as he mimicked some of the best Jackson-inspired dance moves to perfection, looking just like a mini version of the King of Pop.
Willie, while only being a young lad, has already wowed a crowd with his moves on multiple occasions.
In fact, Willie’s talent has seen him recognized as being one of the best in the game, and he was awarded first place in the official Michael Jackson Tribute Festival of the Arts in 2014.
Not only that, but Willie has even made it onto Windy City Live, where, naturally, he performed a Michael Jackson routine.
It’s easy to see why he’s so popular, with his ability to pull off the sorts of Michael Jackson stunts that would land most of us in hospital.
In this particular performance, the crowd goes wild the moment Willie’s silhouette begins posing behind a screen.
He’s clearly got a few fans aside from his parents and a few family friends! When he comes out from the screen, he’s in full Jackson mode, pointing at the crowd, kicking his legs and miming along to the song.
He looks the part from head to toe, dressed in a classic Jackson outfit of black trousers with a white t-shirt and open collard shirt.
He spins, moonwalks and kicks his way into the audience’s hearts, and by the end, the music can hardly be heard for the screaming crowd.
If you’re wondering what Willie’s up to today, he’s still performing, albeit in a different sense!
The most recent video posted to his YouTube channel shows him playing to the crowd at a kids slam dunk contest at a Chicago Bulls game.
He’s still got that cheeky personality, and he manages to slip in a casual moonwalk on his way off the stage.
Jackson may have passed away in 2009, but his spirit continues to live on in impersonators across the world.
Willie The Entertainer is proof of this. He was only 8 years old at the time of his performance, meaning he was a mere baby when Jackson died.
Because of that, Willie would have only learned of the pop star through recordings of him from the past.
It’s unlikely that the world will forget Michael Jackson soon, especially when there are performers like Willie The Entertainer to honor his name.
