Watching dancers who have talent is so fun. That’s why there are millions of videos online. But usually, the people who perform wear special shoes, whether for tap, ballet, jazz, and so on. That gives their feet traction, which allows them to do amazing footwork.
Looks familiar but better
For those of you who remember Tom Cruise in Risky Business, he wore socks. As a result, he was able to slide across the floor seamlessly. Now, a video has surfaced that shows a woman doing the same…dancing in socks. And what she does on stage is beyond fantastic.
2020 Jamboree Ball
That’s the competition this woman participated in, which was held in Munich, Germany. She was in the solo division, performing to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” just like in Risky Business. So far, more than 200,000 people around the world have now enjoyed this outstanding performance.
The unexpected
People in the audience expected to see someone take the stage in a fancy costume while wearing the appropriate dance shoes. Instead, this gal took her place on stage wearing white shorts, a white shirt, and white knee-high socks.
Capturing attention
That alone was enough for everyone to take note. Immediately after she walks out, the auditorium becomes silent. After all, her attire was unconventional so perhaps her dance would be too.
What a surprise
Not only did this woman go full-throttle into her dance moves but as soon as she turned around to face the audience, she had a huge smile on her face.
Good old rock n’ roll
In perfect timing to the music, she pulls out incredible dance moves. She nails all of them. And what made her performance so great was that she enjoyed every minute of it.
The right attitude
For someone to pull off a dance to this particular song, they better have a little bit of sass. And she did, well, actually, she had a whole lot of sass. It was perfect and the crowd loved it.
A huge advantage
With only socks on her feet, this woman was able to slide, spin, shake, and twist flawlessly. She’s got the hip moves down to fine art and utilized her hands to make the dance even more impressive.
Unbelievable talent
If you watch closely, you’ll notice she implements other dance styles in this rock and roll performance. You’ll see some ballet and jazz along with a little bit of contemporary. That just goes to show that she’s put in a lot of hard work to become so great.
A riveting dance
With the music blaring, everyone is riveted by her performance. Since dancing in socks is unique, hopefully, it’ll inspire other young dancers to consider doing it.
Comments poured in
Quickly after the video was uploaded to social media, people went wild. One person wrote, “Damn!!! That girl has more moving parts than a fine Swiss watch.” Another individual had this to say, “This may be the best thing on YouTube.”
