How do you feel when someone cuts off their connection to their children?
Owen Wilson, most commonly known for his roles in The Zoolander, Shanghai Noon, and several movies by Wes Anderson, has apparently relinquished his roles as a father.

The news came when his ex-girlfriend posted a photo of their daughter Lyla. When asked about the extent of Wilson’s involvement with the child, Varunie Vongsvirates gave a shocking answer.
Wilson still has not met his only daughter.
According to Vongsvirates, Wilson never contacted her or Lyla. Their daughter just celebrated her third birthday.

Back in 2019, Vongsvirates shared with the Daily Mail that she begged the actor to be more involved with their daughter’s life. It was a stark difference from his other two older children Robert and Finn since he spends time with them when he can.
Vongsvirates, however, shared that he has been helping financially.
But for her, “involvement” should go beyond just providing resources. She said to The Daily Mail that Lyla needed a father.

She also pointed out the irony because Wilson apparently was getting father roles but he never once went to his daughter three years and counting. Secret Headquarters is Wilson’s upcoming movie where he’ll play a dad and a superhero.
The two dated for five years.
They eventually went their separate ways but not before conceiving Lyla. He took a paternity test last 2018 where it was confirmed that he was Lyla’s father.

It was also reported that he ticked the “no visitation” box in court and was not interested in getting any extent of custody. It was also reported that Vongsvirates gave birth alone.

When the news about Lyla first broke out, Wilson was reportedly “excited”. His party also said that “he will fulfill all of his obligations to support his child.”
It was a different story from his other children.
Robert was born to Jade Duell who Wilson broke up with last 2011. He then dated his fitness coach Caroline Lindqvist who eventually became the mom of Finn.

In his guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Cars star said that Finn idolizes his older brother Robert. He talked lovingly about their dynamics together and their relationship with him.
He even shared to Esquire magazine that he loves telling stories to his sons. He also joked that his sons would often tell him to “do something” with his stories.
Wilson started his career with director Wes Anderson.
He co-wrote Rushmore in 1998 then the cult classics The Royal Tenenbaums and Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. He also starred in some of these movies.
After battling personal problems and surviving a suicide attempt, he made a comeback with Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited.

He currently thrives in his role in Marvel’s Loki as Mobius M. Mobius. A time-police who chases after time-criminals. He will also star with Jennifer Lopez in a 2022 romantic comedy film titled Marry Me.
Meanwhile, Vongsvirates shares her daughter’s milestones online.
People in the comment section of her Instagram were calling out the actor for “taking the convenient way out” in terms of child support.

They are also commenting on how much Wilson is missing out as Lyla is growing up without someone to call a father.
