Woman Gets Stranded Overnight In Airport And Makes Dance Video

July 23rd, 2020

Let’s face it, nobody likes to be stuck at the airport. Especially if you’re expecting to board a plane for a connecting flight, only to find out you’ll be spending the night in the terminal instead.

While a lot of us would probably sit around being frustrated – one woman decided to make the most out of her experience and fill the hours with dance. That’s right, dance!

Mahshid was traveling from New Jersey to Colorado for a wedding. However, she had to make a stop in Charlotte along the way.

When she finally got to the Charlotte airport she learned she’d missed her connecting flight, meaning she was stranded until she could catch a different plane in the morning.

Basically she had two options. Mahshid could either waste time being upset – or, engage in the activity that made her the “happiest.” She went with the latter!

The traveler hit record and started grooving right there in the terminal.

But as we know, dancing is a lot more enjoyable when you have others to do it with. So, she got random strangers to join in on the fun!

Mahshid chose the perfect song for the impromptu dance session – none other than Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long.” One worker at a coffee shop couldn’t resist moving to the beat with her.

Her positivity inspired others.

Turns out, there were plenty of people at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport that felt like dancing – from workers to other passengers. What’s best is that it appears she brightened people’s moods!

Dancing isn’t the only way she amused herself.

Mahshid seems to have a really good sense of humor, along with a joyful spirit. She shows her comical side in the video by doing things like sneaking a spray bottle from a cleaning cart to “freshen up.” Hey, it can be a long day when you’re traveling!

Have you ever seen airline employees dance at the counter?

Surely any airport job would be stressful on a daily basis. But thanks to Mahshid’s dancefest – workers were loosening up and grinning from ear to ear.

She shared on YouTube:

“…I didn’t want to sit in anger all night long, so instead I did what makes me happiest…DANCE!!!! Oh, and I made some really great friends along the way! Thank you for dancing your troubles away with me!!! :)

There aren’t many people who can say they’ve done the “moonwalk” at the airport.

But Mahshid can… She’s pretty awesome at it too.

“You are THE BEST. Can’t tell you how much this cheered me when I needed it – AND you are a great dancer!”

Someone else wrote:

“It’s beautiful to see someone spreading so much joy like this! And it’s amazing that you choose such a great attitude, keep doing you gurl”

While making so many people happy would have probably been amazing enough – Mahshid did get a special surprise afterward. According to her YouTube channel, Lionel Richie sent her an invitation to attend one of his shows in Vegas. She even got to meet him backstage!
