The band Pomplamoose strikes again with another million-viewer mashup!
Although there are a lot of mashup arrangers out there, Pomplamoose is one group that never fails to amaze viewers with their performances.

The most interesting thing about the video is how it seems like it was an impromptu idea!
While rehearsing, the drummer, Ben Rose, halted Jack Conte on his keyboard as he shared his quick realization about the song they were playing, Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams.”

He suggested that they could do a mashup instead since the song sounds so similar to “Seven Nation Army,” originally by The White Stripes.
The bass lines sound so similar that it was possible to put them together. With that, their discussion ended with everyone agreeing to it in a split-second.
The result is a Eurythmics and The White Stripes mashup like you have never heard before.

Using the bass line from “Seven Army Nation,” Sarah Dugas, as one of Pomplamoose’s featured guests, begins the verses of “Sweet Dreams.”
After that, Nataly Dawn then begins to harmonize with her. Mixing Sarah’s matured voice and Nataly’s smooth and fluid vocals, they complimented each other like bread and butter. They then continued to the verses of “Seven Nation Army” with Nataly doing the lead.
As the lyrics built up to its chorus, they immediately transitioned to the bridge of “Sweet Dreams.”

Kicking it off with an awesome instrumental break, you can see the band passionately hitting their keys, banging the drums, and doing seamless riffs on the bass and the electric guitar.
They slowly built up to their finale with their instrumentals. When the drum roll ended, Dawn starts in with impressive vocals after showing off by singing “Sweet Dreams” in a higher octave than usual. Accompanied by Sarah and the rest of the band, they were able to successfully pull off the mashup!

This successful mashup invited in all kinds of music lovers.
After the mashup was uploaded on YouTube in September 2019, it easily gathered 4.5 million views! People admired the uniqueness of their musical style.

One YouTube commenter focused his attention on the band’s enthusiasm:
“I love how excited the members of the band are when it starts coming together. Something really wholesome about a band of mates messing around and getting excited about their own music.”
Mashups like this one have earned the group huge success in their YouTube career.

People also loved that they also feature other indie YouTube artists in their videos.
They not only featured Sarah Dugas but also artists like Dodie Clark, Jon Cozart, Malinda Kathleen Reese, Andie Case and many others.
