The modern wedding has come along way from cans dangling from the back of a Cadillac with “JUST MARRIED” scrawled on the back windscreen. Aside from a change in…let’s say taste, it seems like our thirst for theatrics has meant that weddings can be pretty eventful affairs.
Anything can happen at weddings these days…
So when two ladies stepped up at Skylar and Daniel’s wedding, nobody in the audience knew what they were in for. The bride and groom are both young and energetic, so naturally, so is their ceremony.
One of the two hosts jokes and hands “Grandma” the microphone as they both head out to the dance floor.
As Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” begins to play, they clap and take their positions. Skylar and Daniel may have been expecting speeches, but they may not have been expecting a full dance routine. And oh boy, are they in for a treat!
Then, they bust out the moves!
Without any further delay, these two jump into the routine. The first surprise is that they’re dancing seemingly spontaneously, the second is that they’re actually quite good!
The third surprise does not disappoint either.
Just when our lucky couple think they understand the scale of this performance, the rest of the bridesmaids clap their way onto stage, all joining in the fun.
All perfectly in sync, they manage a stunning routine.
I say manage, because as the photographer points out in this video’s description, many of the bridal party are from across different states, so coordinating a routine with all these different people is some feat!
Needless to say, the bride and groom are having the time of their lives!
As Skylar throws her head back, Daniel smiles from ear to ear at this welcome surprise. Even Grandma is having a fantastic time!
And they do NOT hold back!
Close your eyes Grandma! These girls are not pulling any punches in their dance routine…
Time for a switch up!
After MJ fades out, and a brief clip from Sam Smith, Andy Grammer’s country-styled “Honey I’m Good” kicks in, and as it does, the bridesmaids kick with it!
But that’s not all…
Of course, it’s not enough to just have the bridesmaids up and strutting their stuff. It wouldn’t be a wedding flash mob if you didn’t have the groomsmen up there too! Soon the whole bridal party are up on stage making the couple’s night.
And they bring the special effects!
As Skylar and Daniel watch on they get sprayed with petals. This whole mob did not hold back in their preparation, or their execution.
Just one more thing.
Of course, just as it wouldn’t be a wedding flash mob without the groomsmen, it wouldn’t be one without getting the couple of the hour up too!
It’s a very special routine in fact.
According to the photographer, this routine that the entire bridal party is joined in performing was choreographed when Skylar was very young. Because of this, it’s significant to her, and everyone indulges her in performing it. I’m just not sure Daniel knows all the moves that well!
Never mind, he’s a pro!
Strike that! It turns out that Daniel knows his bride’s dance well, and is not afraid to show the rest of the party what he’s got. This truly was a memorable event for these two lucky young partners in life.
