Weddings! Everyone loves them. It is a celebration of love. An event full of symbolism and tradition depending on where you are in the world. The families involved get excited over the decorations, the theme, their clothes, and the food. That wedding reception is where all the fun begins!
One of the most symbolic moments is the first dance. The newly married couple dance together under warm lights, with all their guests looking on with smiles and tears. It’s a promise made to each other. A show of everlasting love and unity.

It is Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”. One of the artist’s more popular songs. He’s known for those melt in your eyes romantic ballads and this one is no different. The first verse is right on point for newly married couples.

Man and wife start it off slow and sweet, smiling sweet nothings at each other all the while as they move to the song. Then suddenly a little twirl and spin. The dance moves to a waltz, their joined hands up and out as they step around the dance floor.
Everyone with their phones out got a close up shot, that’s for sure. It’s a very romantic rhythm. Almost Disney-like in the sense of a prince dancing with the princess. It’s wonderful.
Even the servers stop and watch.
The woman jumps into his arms and he twirls on his feet as she allows herself a moment of vulnerability. As for symbolic gestures, this is just trust right there. He’ll never let her fall. Listen to that applause!
Sure, they practiced but the natural chemistry is there. There’s no denying that they were made for each other. The dance is choreographed accordingly to the song. These two know how to entertain without overdoing it. It’s still very much their dance as a newly married couple.
The first dance is more than an expression of love.
It’s a display of fidelity. A show of telling everyone how they will keep their vows to the very end. The synchronized movements may as well be life for these two. It’s only fluid when done together. And they’ve definitely got it together!
