When Solomia Lukyanets decided to audition for The Voice Kids in Germany, she was just 13-years-old, but the voice that came out of her completely shocked the judges.
Stepping onto the stage in front of hundreds of people, the young Solomia donned a floral patterned shirt, adorable pigtails, and braces – she looks like your typical young teen girl. However, her voice? Is anything but typical.
Solomia, a native of Ukraine, was about to sing a song that would make the judges literally rise to their feet and their jaws drop to the floor. The teen opted to sing a beautiful, yet very difficult, song – the classic Andrea Bocelli opera hit, “Time to Say Goodbye”.
The 13-year-old was confident she would do well because of numerous awards and accolades so far. But, she had no idea just how much she would move the judges.
During the blind auditions of Voice Kids Germany, Solomia’s song because to play on the speakers. Immediately, the judges are blown away that she would choose such a difficult song. They eagerly awaited to her whose voice they would be hearing, especially since they knew it would be a kid!
As soon as she sings her first line, two judges are in complete disbelief and have to hit their buttons. They are in total awe of what young kid would choose such an amazing song and perform it so perfectly!
One of the judges, Lena Meyer-Landru, was so touched by Solomia and her angelic voice that she couldn’t hold back her tears.
Solomia continues to belt out the operatic tune and the judge couldn’t help but weep. The entire room was just enveloped by her gorgeous voice. Of course, as the song goes on, it crescendos into a mind-blowing chorus that is beautiful beyond words.
The young girl gives it her all when the powerful chorus hits and that’s enough to sell her voice to another judge who hits their button to turn around. Every single person that sees Solomia is completely bewildered by how mature and mighty her voice was!

Solomia started singing when she was just three-years-old and has been listed as the youngest performing opera singer in the Ukrainian Book of Records. Now 17-years-old, she also has quite the following on social media with about 56,000 followers on Facebook.
Although Solomia ended up getting eliminated during the battle rounds of the Voice Kids Germany, she also made it to the finals in the Voice Kids Ukraine before that. It’s clear that this young girl is full of talent and tenacity.
“The other accolades that she has accumulated in her fledgling career so far include the 1st place in the World of Talents (Kiev, Ukraine) in 2005, the 1st place in the World of Talents International in 2006, 1st place in the Magic Candle International in 2007, 1st place in the New Wave Junior in 2009, and the 1st place in the International Competition of young opera singers by Elena Obraztsova in 2010. Furthermore, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation gave her the “Pride of the Country” award in the “rare talent” category in 2010,” says The Famous People.
