Vince Gill, a titan in the country music world, has a career that’s nothing short of spectacular.

He threw caution to the wind and belted out “Why Me Lord.”
It’s a soul-stirring song written and released in 1972 by American country music artist and gospel singer Kris Kristofferson.
This song has been covered by music legends like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
The standing ovation Gill received for his performance was proof positive that the audience was more moved by the performance’s emotional resonance than the song’s religious content.
