Some artists have unbelievable gifts, and Vance Joy is one of them.
The singer and songwriter comes from Australia and made his claim to fame in 2012 when he signed a five-album recording deal with Atlantic Records. In this stellar jam-session, he serenades commuters on the bus in Melbourne.
His voice is so incredibly pure and soothing!
Vance Joy stunned people on the bus with a pop-up performance of his song “Riptide.”
Vance Joy’s debut album God Loves You When You’re Dancing was released in 2013 and was a great success. The first track released from it was “Riptide” which became widely popular, even winning multiple awards.
Back in 2013, he performed his hit song just a month after his debut album was released.
In this impromptu performance, he plays the song on the ukulele with mesmerized fans watching as they ride the tram. At the beginning of the video, you can see the superstar musician starting to play before the video switches to him playing on the public bus.
His voice is sensational, and the people in Melbourne can’t believe he’s actually playing in front of them!
Every ear on the bus is tuned in to the melodic sounds streaming from his mouth. He closes his eyes as if to go to a different place while he plays and sings.
It’s easy to see why his music is so popular—not many musicians sound this good live.
Not only that, but the sounds he creates with just a ukulele are also phenomenal. As the song progresses, people on the bus take out their phones to get a video of the famous singer.
Who wouldn’t want to get proof of this?
It’s not every day you see one of your country’s most famous musicians playing a free show for anyone with a bus ticket.
Girls all around the world have fallen for Vance Joy because of his music, which is not hard to believe given the wonderful sound he produces.
He definitely has amazing vocals, and with movie star good looks to match. He plays through the entire song without skipping a beat, strumming his instrument and singing at the same time. As it turns out, this casual performance was orchestrated by Tram Sessions, who put various famous artists from all over the world on local transit to do live shows for unsuspecting onlookers.
Vance Joy is just one of the many popular musicians that Tram Sessions has recruited to perform, they’ve also hosted artists like Passenger, Gavin James, and Ben Kweller.
By the end of the performance, the bus erupts with cheers from satisfied music lovers.
These people never thought a simple bus ride would get them a front-row performance from one of Australia’s rising musicians, but that’s exactly what they got!
Fans on the internet went crazy for spontaneous transit performance, and millions of people viewed the video on social media.
The video has been viewed over 4.5 million times on YouTube, with 91,000 hitting the thumbs up.
