Some big news for the America’s Got Talent family was just revealed on the latest episode of season 13!
If you’ve been keeping up with this season of AGT, you know that the auditions are over and the Judges Cuts rounds have officially begun to air.
Judges Cuts are the some of the toughest moments on AGT (other than the finale, obviously) as acts are desperately working to make it to the Live Shows.
Ultimately, it is up to the judges (and a select few guest judges, who rotate out each week) on whether or not an act will make it forward.
If an act has already gotten a Golden Buzzer, they’re safe from Judges Cuts and move straight on to the Live Shows which don’t begin until August.
One of the biggest moments of the season just took place and it was a happy one for everyone!
Us The Duo auditioned for America’s Got Talent with an original song and the judges were a little divided on whether or not they should have moved forward.
Howie Mandel hadn’t been that impressed by their songwriting skills, but the other three judges did like what the couple had done.
Despite Howie’s dislike for them, the married couple made it to the Judges Cuts round and they had some really big news to share with the AGT judges.
In a pre-taped segment, husband and wife Michael Alvarado and Carissa Alvarado talked about falling in love. For Michael, it was love at first sight. For Carissa, she needed to hear a song from him before she fell back.
During their audition, Carissa said that they wanted to start a family soon and winning America’s Got Talent would make that a possibility.
Fast forward to the latest episode of AGT, where Us The Duo returns, and they’ve got great news. They’re expecting a baby!
Before the big reveal, Mel B actually turned to Howie and whispered that she thought Michael and Carissa would have really good looking babies. It is like she has a sixth sense!
For their second performance on America’s Got Talent, the couple prepared another original song, titled “(Stop) Just Love.”
When asked what they’d been up to since their audition, Carissa revealed that they were expecting a baby! Mel B was beside herself that she’d practically predicted the good news.
When asked what he thought, Simon Cowell said:
“Very good songwriters, obviously amazing chemistry, great positions, you sound great together. I’m not sure I like this one as much as the first audition if I’m being honest with you, but I love you too, I really do.”
America’s Got Talent shared the video on their Facebook page and fans immediately rushed to comment.
One Facebook commenter felt that Us The Duo reminded them of a former AGT couple:

While another commenter defended the couple after Howie’s comments:
What a surprise, Howie only likes songs that are already popular or successful. Can’t stand when musicians play originals. A bit of a hypocrite in my opinion. He wouldn’t want his beloved comedians to come out and perform a Steve Martin or Eddie Murphy routine. Double standard for sure.
